That did not take you long to get some. It is fairly water resistant with minor color bleed. :)

Good old Goulet's. Great customer service.

Shin Kai really does have a nice sheen. I'm sitting in a beam of sunlight jay dazzling at all the bursts of shimmering red in my writing using this ink. Never noticed it before.

Fountain pens forever and forever a hundred years fountain pens, all day long forever, forever a hundred times, over and over Fountain Pen Network Adventures dot com!

Very nice! The shade is dark and frightening, like your sea creature. ;) Is that a Pilot or Sailor ink?

Shin-kai is a Pilot Iroshizuku ink. It's very interesting. With some nibs and paper, it's more grey, with others, it's more blue.

Rationalizing pen and ink purchases since 1967.

I absolutely love when inks have that complexity of color or multiple colors at the same time. Hence my fondness for Oku-yama, Ancient Copper, and Apache Sunset. Any others you's suggest?

Those are seriously funny.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

  • 2 weeks later...

South Seas aka Inspired Blue is one of my favorite colors. :D

South Sea Blue used to a be much lighter and greener than Inspired Blue.

Is it fair for an intelligent and family oriented mammal to be separated from his/her family and spend his/her life starved in a concrete jail?

Does that mean the formula changed?

Everytime I log in to this thread, it costs me money. I don't even think I'm a blue fiend, but I keep falling in love.

I know how you feel. I used to be fairly neutral about most blues, but now I'm hooked. The Liberty's Elysium really makes me giddy. ;)

Private Reserve Electric DC Blue:

Crazy sheen but this ink is messy! Smudges after months!

Sailor Odekake aka About to Leave (from Onago-iro Days)

Great red/pink sheen.

Iroshizuku Ajisai

No no no... Too pale for my taste. Maybe in a wetter pen.
