Indelible Pencil

I want to get one. I have read about the potential health risks. Are these risks real? I mean is the graphite/dye mix really so toxic? Also, if anyone has one, could they please post a writing sample? I would like to see if the dye really appears blue or not on the page. Any information about copying pencils would be appreciated.

I'm not in the habit of eating my pencils... well, when I was a kid I may have munched on a few... so I'm not quite sure what the purpose is behind an inedible pencil. A little clarification would be nice. :)

I had some of them about 30 years back (or more). If I remember correctly it was indeed some blueish tone to them. I held them often in my mouth, but haven't experienced any sideffects yet - but it tasted quite bitter.

I didn't like those pencils very much (they had been a present), because when I use a pencil I use it because I want it to be easily erasable. Most of the time I picked those pencils by accident and was quite annoyed that I couldn't erase it afterwards. So I never bought them again.

Greetings,

Michael
