Thank you for a great review. I have Nioi-Sumire and am awaiting delivery of Shigure.

I love it when people review an entire line of inks! It's really cool to see the theme that Sailor was going for with the seasons. I have a bottle of souten, but oku-yama and shigure look very tempting!

well, the thing is Ku Jaku is an awesome ink and if Yama Dori is within shouting distance, that makes the default win go to Shigure for me. if there was a very close Iro color it might be different, but in the absence of that...

WOW this was awesome! Thank you.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Thank you for this incredible review!

I was wondering if anyone has compared Souten vs Sky High regarding sheen? Is it the same?

NOOOOO!

I do not need more ink.

I do not need more ink.

I do not need more ink.

Okay, I do. Don't tell my husband.

If I get to NYC over Christmas it looks as if I'm making a trip downtown to PFH....

I'm sure it is a well known disease - Lack-Ah-Inky and it is terminal.

Actually, it's *really* more like "WAAANT! Must HAAAAVE!" :lticaptd:

I don't think my husband will buy that argument. Especially since someone in my local pen club is trying to put together a KWZI group buy....

Although if we go to NYC over Christmas, I notice that the new Sailor inks are carried by Fountain Pen Hospital....

I picked up Yama Dori and Miruai and tested them out this week. The Yama Dori is a showstopper, what an amazing color. I find that the Miruai needs quality paper, good lighting and an M or B nib size to show its stuff.

Thank you for this artful and useful review--and for quoting 'Raglan Road,' my favorite poem/song of true but lamented love.
