Someone mentioned this earlier in the thread but I think it's worth repeating: the grip on the Safari isn't for everyone. It is very distinctive. I found it really uncomfortable and gave the pen up. For me the TWSBI pens (both the 580 and the Mini) work just fine.

 

You really have to try this pen. I was reading the reviews about this and I bought one. Now I own 5 Safari. The reason is that I like the grip, I can throw these in my purse and take them anywhere. If I ever lose one I will not be sorry for myself. If I lose my Mont Blanc I would not be impressed. It stays home.
