Iroshizuku Fuyu-Gaki (Persimmon Orange) Vs The Real Thing!

Hi all!

I LOVE persimmons, and in case you didn't know, it's persimmon season now! Because I love persimmons, I had to get the Iroshizuku ink when I made my first ink sample purchase.

 

Now, for your consideration, the ink and the fruit. For those in the know, these are hachiya persimmons, not fuyu, but the color is clearly what they had in mind. Oh, and this was written with my Pilot Metropolitan, medium nib.

Nice! I haven't seen persimmons yet. I love them for lunch. Especially the flat ones (sharon fruit.) That ink really matches. Now, I'm hungry.

Persimmons are my favourite fruit in autumn. As for Fuyu-gaki, I've used it a whole year for grading students' homework and I love it. I've moved on to other choices though...

Right now, my "daring" ink is PR Plum in a purple Lamy. But I ordered a sample of Fuyu-gaki from Goulet's samplepalooza sale and will give it a try. I'm TRYING not to order too many new bottles of ink. Failing, but trying....
