OMG... what an awesome Pen Show!!!!.. Scriptus was really worthy of Toronto.. http://smileys.on-my-web.com/repository/MSN_Emoticons/MSN-Emoticon-heart-010.gif

Thanks to Philip Akin and David Armstrong... and tons of other people who work in the background (me included :P). This was an AWESOME show... not just GREAT one, but a truly AWESOME show.

Now, because it was such a great show and all... it was truly busy all day, and sometimes it was super busy, so not only I had no time to check other tables.. but tragically I had no time to take pics of the whole venue and the show itself... http://smileys.on-my-web.com/repository/Sad/sad-023.gif

I had the privilege and pleasure to introduce two amazing Ink Makers/Producers and one Tome River distributor to Scriptus and North America in general..

· Kevin from JustWrite.com.au

· Konrad from KWZ Inks

· Jay from PaperForFountainPens.com (ok, fine.. he doesn't need an introduction, but Tomoe River still not well known.. :P)

From Australia (Kevin).. we had the unveiling of BlasckStone!!!!, the most amazing and currently the only modern Powder Ink made specifically for Fountain Pens. The inks were on display for people to play with, and sachets containing enough powder to make up to 100ml of inks were freely distributed to almost everyone who dropped by at the table (until I ran out :()..

From Poland (Konrad).. we had the pleasure of showcasing his highly sought Iron Gall Inks. Most of his Iron Galls and some of his exclusive inks, and even some never seen before inks :ninja: ..were available to sample at the table and also were freely distributed in microvials for later enjoyment in the comfort of your home.... (until I ran out :()..

From USA (Jay)... we had the pleasure of gifting Tomoe River virgins... the pleasure of their own Tomoe River pad.... People were going... "ooooohhhh is sooo smoooth"... ... (until I ran out :()..

So... here it is.. "A view from the Ink Sample Table.."

Setting up... some lucky people were given a gift bag containing all the fixings for making up to 300ml of glorious inks.. courtesy of Kevin @ JustWrite.com.au (Art Work done with BlackStone ink from my in house artist... you will see her in another pic)

Great job, Cyber6!! Those sorts of events are always hectic, stressful and FUN.

The signage is waaaay better than anything you might have gotten from another Minion! Especially one in Minnesota.

Totally awesome and cool. The artist did great work! Glad to see it was a fab operation. I"m also glad that lots of people wanted to see these inks. GREAT JOB!!!

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Great job. I stopped by the ink table a few times during the day and it was almost always very busy indeed. Thanks for facilitating this.

I see a lot of young people at the event. Were they there because of your kids? When we went to the LA show, my daughter was the only young person we saw.

I was pleasantly surprised at the great turnout. How far did attendees travel for this show? A lot of tables and a lot of helpful people behind them. I made sure months ago that I would be in Toronto for this.

A couple of questions: is there a map of the table layout on line? And, what is the online address of the Blackstone ink site? I couldn't get there.

At one time I was totally surrounded with youngsters... 10-15... Their Teacher stopped by and say thank you for letting them play with inks.

The Toronto Reference Library is a famous landmark. It is a gorgeous Library. I am gladly surprised that a Teacher schedule a school outing on a Sunday. :D

I would have liked to have gone to this. But the budget said "the choice is Toronto or Columbus -- not both...."

The inks are not yet available for sale. When they become available, the first person to have them will be JustWrite in Australia.

Events like this encourage the resurgence of fountain use. Everybody I let try out writing with my vintage flex pens says how much more fun it is than writing with a ball point, and the ink color is great, too.

Wish I could have been there. Very well planned and executed. Your table could not have been in a better spot to be noticed and attract attention. Gorgeous inks, ideally displayed, and generously offered up for new folks to try. Same for Jays awesome notebooks and pads. I'd be real surprised if all the folks involved didn't end up getting some orders in the very near future. Hoping next year I'll get to attend and help out!

Be forewarned... I will eye-bang the bejeezus out of your pens...

Thanks for showing us the awesome inks Cyber6!

I've seen your reviews on the KWZ inks online but seeing it in person was AMAZING!!!

And the Black Stone inks was so cool too!

I am definitely going to pick up a bottle or two or all.... in the future.

I'll definitely be joining in on future group buys.

If you have any samples for purchase please let me know.

Thanks for the samples of the KWZI - I never would have thought of getting the green but I am really liking it! Same with the Blackstone - that colour transition is sweet! I am going to mix up a bottle over the weekend. :D
