Thoughts About The Lamy Studio Wild Rubin

I own several and all of them in 14k gold. I've never used the steel nib but I find deals everywhere. I just bought the red 2013 limited edition with gold nib for 95 Dollars. I got the special gift set with Wild Rubin 14k gold for $129.00. The pens are superb; smooth as butter.

I am thinking of getting the Lamy Studio Wild Rubin. Do any of you have it and what are your thoughts about it?

Did you choose the gold or steel nib and what width?

Where did you get them that cheap?

One of them I got from a dealer who didn't know what he had. The other was from MassDrop. I got the Wild Rubin Gift Set for $129.00. Use my affiliate link https://www.massdrop.com/r/SBYRAT but be warned, it's so easy to drop significant amounts of cash over there - the price are usually very good, but check them on the internet before joining a drop.

The only thing I do not like about the Studio is the weight.

22g body only is barely OK, but posted at 31g it is too heavy for me. Most of my pens are below 15g.

I like the earlier light one, but not the later heavy one.

I have never seen the PILOT Vanishing Point, never held it. I own two Namiki Vanishing Points, multi-faceted green and black.
