Very pleased. Put side-by-side to Thistle, and the shade (and shading) are similar --at least in the concentration I have of Thistle. I may have to do a face-off of those two...

Looks like fun,

 

You should give it a try --I'd love to see combinations that other people have made. In the right light, it has a similar quality to those "metallic gel" pens. Of course, it may be too bedazzling for most people's ink needs... ;)

These all look so amazing! Have any of the color combinations helped to reduce the amount of feathering the SG or RH inks normally have?

Current Wishlist:

Visconti, Visconti, and...more Visconti! (And some ST Duponts too). (Ok fine, getting on the Omas and Montblanc trains now too. Toot toot.) (And maybe on the Montegrappa one too, but only for the Miyas.)

I generally have never had any problem with feathering with SG or RH --at least not on the paper I use --mostly Rhodia and Clairefontaine. None of my inks behave well on copier paper, so I gave up trying. But it does seem that the mixtures are quite well behaved.

(approximate because I just eyeballed it because I live dangerously.)

 

Edit: It ended up turning all weird and gunky after an hour or so, so I can't say I recommend mixing these two. Super sad, since it was so pretty.

I went a little overboard with the luster. I'm very new to dip nibs so ignore the writing style.

Too bad. It is a nice dark blue, but if there's gunkiness, then not a good outcome. Good name, though!

Wow! I like the ink --AND your handwriting! Tell me more about this "Designer Luster" --what is that? Looks great!

The glitter made a film along the barrel of my piston demonstrator. It still wrote fine, but there was a clear reaction going on in there. I had to disassemble and clean it out. Sad sad sad. There was even a nice reddish sheen happening too, I was hoping it'd work out.
