Jfk Ink

I am surprised so many people like this ink. It's not saturated enough for me. Kind reminds me of J Herbin Bleu Nuit but worse. I have a full bottle this (and Bleu Nuit) thats just going to sit in its box.

Agree. I was totally underwhelmed by this ink. I've given away most of the bottle as samples.

Tal, it is actually available on the MB US site, here. If you have friends in the US, they can order it now.

Great combination indeed Frank! I know you are a big fan of precise, fine, yet smooth nibs, but you should also try it in a Broad...capital B ;)

By the way, I seem to be using my EF and F nibs for my Kanji these days; I thought you would appreciate that.

I also bought a BB 90th Anniversary Pen; I have not filled it up, yet. I put 90th Anniversary Permanent Grey in my 90th Anniversary 144 with a BB nib.

I think kanji lends itself to fine or extra fine nibs, especially when you have 20 stroke characters!

I'm still trying to figure out how to list all my pens down here.

Thank you. I've been wondering about this color.

It looks too dark for me. I prefer the MB royal blue sample. But now I know

Yes, now I am really understanding it, especially with, like you said the more complex Kanji.

I love this ink. I have it in Shaeffer imperial and I had to sign a pile of documents the other day and it just looked so nice, unusually wet for MB and just an overall nice color It looks like a MB blue black that someone put a little genuine blue into so it is not all Black/Gray but not a genuine dark blue or navy like Diamine Midnight either. If this was a regular production ink I would use it as regular Blue-black. The difference is subtle but there is just enough blue in there to make it different and the flow and lubrication is excellent, at least in the 2 pens I have used it in.

Just a quick heads up for whoever is still looking for this ink. I called Paradise Pen today, who informed me they have a good number in stock nationally. I picked up two bottles today which will be delivered. Mine is being mailed to my address, so I am sure you can have the same done for yourself.

In order to appreciate the sweet, you must truly taste the bitter....

Just started using this ink and really enjoying it.

I have it in a Fitz medium nib and it is behaving excellently.

It has a smart "get down to business" look about it.

A great representation of JFK the man, and his office.
