What is that beautiful blue ink that you use to write the ink names "Diamine Grey", "Gris Nuage", "Fuyu-syogun", etc?

Also, I kept the pictures full resolution, so right-click and choose to open it in a new window if you want to see the full-sized image. :)

When I right-click and open one of your pics I;m taken to a ImageShack page where (after enabling scripting) the picture actually appears smaller, smaller and I can find no way to see a higher resolution version.

Beautiful Review Otherwise... David

Great review, very useful photos, I'm starting to think of this as the disco ink with all that glitter, but I do have a particular dislike of anything gold; can't see any on my Rouge Hematite, thankfully.

YOURS is the review I always wait for! Long before I joined the forum, I'd peruse your reviews on certain inks with much enjoyment. Thank you for another excellent review! :)

Nice review. I've been enjoying Kobe Kaigan Stone Grey lately, but I just ordered a bottle of this for the novelty. It might be a little reminiscent of a glitter pen, but that's not too bad.

Fabulous review! I love my Rouge Hematite (original formula), but I never considered the Gray until I saw your eye-popping pics. Thanks

Thank you for your excellent review, as always. I'll admit that I often search your content hoping for another ink review...

Love this so much, it's going into my TWSBI Diamond 580 RB 1.1 stub! :D

Lol I have considered this option - but this pen is too much of a gusher and I doubt we'll be able to buy this ink anytime soon. Lamy2k with stub it is for me :)

Edit: STUNNING REVIEW! Thank you

Am getting the Mini later so it'll go in the Mini first... the RB is out of stock here and I'm waiting for more! Thought to put it in the 1.1 stub because the broad lines should show the ink (and gold) really nicely.

The next batch is coming here mid-Nov to early Dec IIRC, so you'll get it soon enough!

I got distracted by a pretty sheening dark blue that i was all ready to go and buy right now, this minute, in a kind of TO-THE-WRITING-DESK-I-WANT-IT-NOW way. Then I realised it was Sargasso, which I was actually writing with not five minutes ago. At least I know it's still my favourite, eh? :P

When was Stormy Grey released? It's not on TWD yet as far as I can see, and they're usually pretty good for getting these things in. It sounds like it might be a little too close to Diamine Eclipse on the glitter front (Eclipse is subtler, but has the same uniform sparkle rather than sheen), but if I can convince myself that Grenade, Saguaro Wine, Solferino and Yama-Budo are different enough to justify keeping them all inked up, I'm sure I can work round this one.

"Iktomi is a spider fairy. He wears brown deerskin leggins with long soft fringes on either side, and tiny beaded moccasins on his feet. His long black hair is parted in the middle and wrapped with red, red bands. Each round braid hangs over a small brown ear and falls forward over his shoulders. [...] Poor Iktomi cannot help being a little imp. And so long as he is a naughty fairy, he cannot find a single friend."

The Writing Desk does not stock a lot of J Herbin Inks.

Bureau Direct ( http://http://www.bureaudirect.co.uk/ ) has it back in stock as of this morning, but supplies are limited, and its first come first served (I ordered my bottle before writing this post! :ninja: )

Great review!

I know its a bit of an unknown but I thought I read this is going to be out of stock until December? I have an order I wanted to place with Goulet but was hoping to save shipping by waiting until this is in stock. May not want to wait if its really going to be that long.

Just got my bottle here in Taiwan...first impressions are nice. The particulates are very fine and seem to go through the nib well. Needs to be a bit wet to bring out the intersting stuff. My EF nibs are not really made for it, but my fine italic Italix seems to handle it well.

A nice ink. My grail grey is one that shades like good IG without the dryness or precipitate risk, but this is a really nice general grey with a twist.

You won't feel redundant having both :) Stone Grey for the shading, Stormy Grey for the gold sparkle.

Oh to find this ink - I've checked all the usual places and some unusual too. Anyone know of a source in the UK or mainland EU? Even a sample would be nice! Roger
