Identification Help With Cross Pen Set With Ridges

Hi - I'm new here but I can see I'll be spending some time... I have a love for pens that sometimes exceeds my sense of duty to pay rent...

Anyway, my husband received a box set of cross pens awhile back. I broke the barrel of the fountain pen (left it at home so no picture) this weekend trying to get the spare refill cartridge out of it (it had been placed upsidedown and got wedged). The barrel cracked a bit at the section where it attaches to the nib, so rendered useless. I'd like to replace the barrel but hoped someone could identify based on its partner which I have with me now.

I'm posting a photo of its mate - would really appreciate if someone could name this little guy.

Hi Elbycloud and welcome to FPN

I don't know all Cross pens, but somehow this does not look like a Cross pen. Maybe a Cross box, but the pen?

What kind of cartridges did your fountainpen have? A Cross should have a three step-cartridge narrow mouth and then flaring out in 3 steps.

I would guess this is a Chinese product (btw, Cross is made in China, too, these days...) which does not have to be bad, as there are many quite decent Chinese pens.

You are right! I looked a little closer at the paperwork in the bottom of the box and sure enough there is supposed to be a Cross logo on the clip, but there is nothing. One of us must have moved the original pen set out of the box and replaced with these two. I'll start looking for the real Anastasia tonight!

Thanks for saving me some time.

Please let us know what you find out. While I agree that's not a Cross pen (or at least not one I've ever seen), I like the look of it and wouldn't mind knowing more about it. ;)
