Montblanc Vs Tibaldi

Hello all

Could not find a Topic for what happend to me.

I wanted to treat myself with a new montblanc pen. So i went to a big pen store with a separate montblanc floor.

Short story short, i came home with a tibaldi Bentley.

Tibaldi is the first italien pen factory for very high end pens.

The nib was something else for my taste so I could not resist.

The pen is very heavy wich I like,

The Clip is perfect with the wheel it just glides down and up.

And the nib is very solid feel, still soft and smooth. lt gives you a little sound but it just glides over the paper.

I am in a way sad i didnt get a montblanc but happy to find this one.

Took me the hole day to make this desission.

Sorry to bother you with my story ...

Not sure why this has been posted in the MB forum. Most people on this forum would have bought a MB when out shopping for a MB.

Welcome to the MB forum.

How are you enjoying your pen and the ink?

The pen is brilliant for a not-montblanc-pen.

its very very close to my favorite, the heritage.

The ink is a very nice blueish dark grey colour, nice pen-ink combo.

While I'm not sure why the topic says Montblanc v Tibaldi I'm not a fan of the pen the rings around the grip looks a little strange maybe its the lighting but it looks like theres a gap causing a dark shadow . That being said I hope you enjoy your pen and have many happy years using it.

I love the heritage 1912. Unfortunately mine is in the repair shop right now. Edited by meiers

thank you.

Was just stunned by the nib, suits my writing.

because i like heavier pens, the MBs were toot light or didnt catch me by the nib.

I usually spend about 1000 euros for a pen.

but iam open to suggestion because i would like another MB.

So far i have the meisterstueck mozart, ballpoint, pencil and fountainpen, and the heritage.

If you like heavier pens you might consider a Tribute to the Mont Blanc in Le Grand size (146). It's all metal, and farily heavy (62 grams, if I remember correctly). It looks special, different from the rest of the Meisterstück line, and feels very well balanced despite its weight. And it fits your budget (although perhaps a bit tightly).

None of those pens cost 1000 Euros..

Fountain pens are like weapons. They just make your pocket bleed so much.
