Can you risk a value for this pen? Btw, I've sent an e-mail to S.T.Dupont, regarding the serial number, and I'm waiting for a reply :)

More likely Fidelio. Note the placement of the square on the clip.

I agree.

Very, very commonly faked, particularly the ball pens.

Here is the Fountain Pen version.

Hi, zeteibao:

Did you ever hear from Dupont about the serial number of that Fidelio FP?

There is one for sale on eBay even as I write (#252102191322), and the seller even sent me personally a picture of the serial number on the pen's clip. The photograph is not good enough for me to decipher what that number is, but I do notice that it's engraved not at the top of the clip but at the bottom!

Should I suspect this pen is a fake? The asking price seems to be a bit low; it's USD$149.

I don't see anything that would say fake BUT the Fidelio is not one of the versions that used Chinese Laquer so that came from some other pen. The body is a very nice resin but not Laque de Chine

I have several Fidelio ballpoints, originally purchased from Fharney's. Two are lacquered and one is sterling. The lacquer is lovely, but the pens hqve no leaf sign on them indicating Laque de Chine.

The pen on the pic of the OP matches my pens in its general characteristics.

Periodically I think of selling the pens, but they are so lovely and mint that I cannot bring myself to do it.

I think the original price I paid was around $200, 15 or so years ago.
