Good review of a nice pen, and great pictures!

I could see that this nib is one I have some spares of, and I just mounted one in my Swarna because it's nib tips broke due to corrosion...

I'm surprised you find the nib springy - and I can see it in the writing sample too - because mine is quite stiff.

The colors of your pen are beautiful, and that cap... Enjoy!

Thanks a lot for the appreciation! I wondered about the springiness too when i first bought it because not only the airmails but most of the Indian nibs are expected to be stiff and not to show line variation. However, this required some pressure to bring out the line variation, which would not be comfortable for much longer.

I wanted to buy this pen. Its so beautiful. But by the time I made up my mind I had already purchased so many pens from ASApens.in that I was hardly left with a penny. :) . Their services are excellent. Mr. Subramaniam is the kind of person who leaves no stone unturned to satisfy his customers.

Purchasing a fountain pen is always a pleasure. Purchasing from him appears more pleasurable...

Haha! I can relate to that feeling mohit ji. :D But we can always save up the money for a good FP in some time. ;) And yes ofcourse, Thumbs-up for Mr. Subramaninam! He is a boon to the FP community.

Very nice looking FP. This is a brand I've not heard of, being a typically sheltered American.

I shall look into it forthwith!

Nice review and thanks for the reference to Mr. Subramaninam's company.

Sir, why don't you see Oliver F27. I have used it and Mr. Cjpandya and I have both written a review of the pen. If you liked the looks of this pen you would adore the looks of that one. Mr pandya calls his pen Molten sky and I call mine 'Flamboyance par excellence' :)

Well, after reading a bit about the Airmail company and looking through their products I ordered up a few to try.

On the way from FPR are a 69LG, a 77RD and a 58SL. Looking forward to giving them a try. I'll certainly post reviews of them when they arrive.

@mrmohitmishra

I did look at the Oliver F27, but sadly they are out of stock in the red. For me the fluorescents are just a bit too flamboyant, although beautiful to look at.

I certainly wasn't implying anything!

I am sure Mr. Mohit was just clarifying it in respect to his own previous comment dear Sir. No hard feelings. :D Thanks a lot for your comment and the valuable input on FPR. Much appreciated! :)

Thanks a lot for your appreciation of the review Mr. Jack. I hope you find the the pens you ordered to your liking. And even if you don't, most wality pens are great to play around with and tinker to your personal tastes! Enjoy! :) Looking forward to your review for the pens.

Thanks a lot for your regular and positive contribution Mr. Mohit! It keeps the posts alive! :) I have a query about the ASA athlete you reviewed. Check out your post for the same.
