That King Philip's Requiem keeps catching my eye. Do you know if it is still available, or was it a special edition?

It was a super limited edition. I had to beg to get a bottle. Shall I send you a sample?

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

I have a bottle of Mont Blanc Oyster Grey and while I like the colour, it's so dry that it drives me crazy. I'm away at my holiday home and have a limited supply of inks. So I tried mixing some Pilot Iroshizuku Yama Budo with the aim of producing an interesting colour that was less dry than MB OG. Below is my initial effort. I'm happy with the colour although it's still a little dry.

Apologies for the quality of the pic., I took it with my iPad and it's a grey day today. The colour is slightly less grey than it looks.

Next time I think I'll do 5 Parts OG to 1 Part YB.

Excellent.

Now all that remains is for you to give us your respected opinion. The MB looks a tad nicer to my eye . . .

Thanks.

The MB remains my number 1 ink. However, the R&K has quickly nudged away the close runners-up for second place. The Dokumentus ink is slightly "dusty" in appearance (to my eyes) which is its main distinction from the truer-blue MBPB. Though Dunkelblau shows some shading, it pales in comparison to the MB.

There is still so much to admire about Sailor Cigar ink, in a vintage Waterman #94 Olive Ripple pen...

Beautiful, Herbert! Please put in your will I get all your pens and inks.

It might crash the economy to have so much treasure concentrated in the hands of only one person, so I may have to split the inheritance between the good and not so good twins... ;)
