Nope... that is ALL Konrad's Magic. The US trip is the easy one.. the one we worried about is the Transatlantic one.

And BTW... I think Goulet send their minions to be trained at Konrad's school of impossible packaging...

Can't be worse than JP to US. One package from JP was only protected by the envelope.

I thought who ever wrapped the inks and GPC must be related.

Ok.. but these are 100+ bottles shipped together. I am sure the risk for broken bottles increases exponentially.

Just a suggestion if possible to KWZI. The gold ink looks closer to Green Tea. So wouldn't "Green Tea" be a better name?

Bottles are divided and wrapped in Poland to avoid double packing - We need to pack it very tightly anyway so it travels safely journey across Atlantic.

Bubble foil might look like excess of precaution, but I had some loss during earlier transatlantic journeys so we want to be sure it travels safely :)

There is no green in this ink! Is it possible that You used blue ink in that pen? :)

I have a lot of tape - and I won't hesitate to use it!

Yours was shipped 2 days ago. It just left the sorting facility at Nashua, NH.

Thank you! C'mon, USPS!

I received my inks yesterday! Thank you so much, now I just need to clear out a pen so I can start writing with them ;)

The packaging was intense! There was a ton of bubble wrap and foam, it was very secure.

Thanks again, I'm looking forward to the next one.

Does anybody remember how you could tell that somebody had been in the Navy by the anchor tattoo with "Mom" written in a banner on his (or her) forearm?

Well, future generations will recognize owners of KWZI ink by the stories they have to tell of how the wrapping was more intense than GPC, even. It will be a tale told with fond memories, because it will also include the point in your life where you fall in love with Konrad's wonderful inks, especially the iron galls, and start giving every pen lover you know samples of his ink, just to spread the love even more. Black and blue bruises aside, it's ALL good!

I looked at the white part of the cap.

All of the green tea I drank so far was a golden color like that ink.

Grrrr . . . . torture! I am very much looking forward to the next shipment, the IGs are especially intriguing.

Have already inked up a pen with IG Violet #3. And it is GORGEOUS. And -- unlike most IG inks I've tried -- seems fairly wet and lubricated.

The other three (IG Red, IG Blue Black, and IG Turquoise) will have to wait till later on today or the weekend, because I have a lot of pens in rotation already. But I'm so looking forward to them as well.

I wonder has anybody did testing with the IG inks if they act like Diamine IG ink? I mean like if there is 1 molecule of different ink in the pen the Diamine IG will solidify? And my Diamine IG ink pen has all the metal parts corroded.

Currently Diamine IG is on the highest for maintenance and RK Salix is on the lowest end near regular dye inks. Where does KWZI IG inks fall under?

I will let Konrad give you the nitty/gritty details of the science, but my personal experience has been very similar to the other testers.

KWZ IG Inks are not like others IG, they are quite wet flowing with good saturation. I have had them in my pens (mostly TWSBI because of the gorgeous colors) and I have not experience, dryness, skipping, nib creep etc.

I have been using Konrad’s IG for more than 6months. They clean easy from my pens with no residue. I have not mixed them, but I am sure more than one molecule of another ink has been in my pens and I have not seen any catastrophic reactions.

I really don’t know what is his secret (I keep asking thou ;))… but I have tried several others IG’s including Pharmacist IG… and I noticed that Konrad’s have a dramatic color change that others don't have, they become quite dark.. and they still perform quite well in all kinds of paper.

As an IG ink... I will recommend for you to maintain a certain level of pen hygiene, but I wouldn't expect for you to do any more than you currently do for R&K Salix.

Received ink today. Just one issue. The IG Blue #2 and the IG Blue/Black are the exact same color. Do you have a sample swatch of these colors?

Thanks

These are the swatches use on the order form. They are very similar, yes. I do not know if they oxidize at the same level. I will have to go home and re-scan them.

IG Blue #2 is typical writing ink with moderate IG content, the final color after darkening will be dark blue with black/gray tones (depending on paper). The ink is also significantly more durable than most dye and IG based inks on market, only a little less durable than registar inks.

IG Blue-Black is archival ink, with no compromises and with durability as final aim of ink existence. The ink will need from 8 to 14 days to reach it's "optimal" saturation, but darkening will occur up to six months. And the final color will be black with blue/gray tones (sometimes little purplish). You need to write a family chronicle, letter to the future? Leave your grand-grandchildren a message? Than this is ink you want to work with.

IG content in this is ink is very high, much higher than in nowadays registar inks, because of level of iron content it's closest cousin is probably Urkudentinte (by Pharmacist), but composition of gallo-tannate part is probably very different.

I have a lot of tape - and I won't hesitate to use it!

KWZI ink is in the house! My house, that is! Thanks to Konrad, Claudia and Justin for your time and efforts to ensure another successful group buy. :)
