Informal Review - Montblanc - Toffee Brown

I haven't inked any pen with it yet. I'm plotting which to use it in. I have a Coffee Al-Star that would love some brown ink and an italic nib. But the Visconti Homo Sapiens always seems to want into the rotation. I've got 6 or 7 inked right now, which is more than I normally have. I have 3 brown inks now, and it would be nice to see each at the same time.

 

The Visconti could have Waterman Havana Brown, the Coffee Al-Star could have the Toffee Brown, and some other pen would get the Noodler's Walnut I bought because it was used on a Goulet invoice. I used it in a pink Safari and some brown stayed on the nib where the split is. On the other hand, seeing the same ink in three different pens might be useful too.

 

But a question for you Amber. I don't think I saw J Herbin Cafe des Iles in this thread. I got some Lie de The cartridges, and my does it change depending on the paper. I'd love to see Cafe des Iles in good lighting.
