:)

It's meant as a cautionary tale. :(

I had no idea how fragile the cap is.

I am wondering how long it will take to get the pen back from our friends in Hamburg.

Very sad news, meiers. I'm sure it was a sad loss.

Live and learn, I suppose.

Here's to hoping you get it back soon!

I received the pen today and immediately filled it with permanet grey ink. Yippee!!!

Nice. Glad it is back with you.

What sort of wax do you use and how do you apply it?

I'm also curious to know.

Sorry to hear about this problem, but glad to know it has been solved in relatively short order.

After scratching the barrel of a pen (a Waterman Carene, as it so happens) many years ago by posting, I stopped doing so with any of my pens.

In spite of what others say, I wax my pens, and never get mars. I normally post all my pens.

I'm glad to learn, MB is a good posting pen, in Large.

My other two MB's are standard length.

Those that say different don't know what they're talking about. There is absolutely nothing wrong with waxing your pens.

I am still using and enjoying my Heritage 1912 every day. Carefully.

Me too.. Love its buttery smooth & soft nib..

Obviously. Posting the cap on a Heritage 1912 is still a bad idea.

But I figured out how to permanently get rid of the rings :) some things do change in 3 years
