if you like ink and pens... NEVER EVER GO TO JAPAN... especially once your considered an otaku on pens :X... 500 USD just really wont cut for a trip for me <_< >_> but I'm still on the otaku culture so... really 500 USD just wont cut for me... especially when I'm driven with games and eroges to buy... <_< >_> but thats for me

but unless you can spend brand new MB FPs a year perhaps you can splurg going to japan surely 1M yen AKA 1K USD would be a journey well spent? but then customs LOL declaring your massive ink haul...

daclaring perhaps close to a gallon worth of inks :X

Did you have any issues related to bringing back liquids on the plane? I mean any TSA questions? were these packed and checked in your suitcase or were they carry on?

Just a great collection!

I brought all the inks from source except the bung box ink which i ordered and had sent to my hotel. They were super helpful and ink was waiting for me in my room on arrival in kyoto. Coming from NZ where there are no stores and only one MB store in the entire country Japan was heaven just amazing to see pens and ink everywhere. And some great adventures traveling around to find these specialist stores with their specialist ink.......I showed some restrain because I could have easily brought twice as much as I did...

thats ok... Japan has a heathy competition on stationary goods... but then again Sailor has 200 inks or more on it's current production line... 80% of which are bespoke inks...

This will be my 4th visit to Japan this winter and first visit with PENS & INK on the brain and itinerary! :puddle:

I will also be staying in Taipei and wonder what I will find there after REALLY looking. All their stores are open late and there are a TON. :bunny01:
