Jar, I'd love to see your A.T.Barr folder open. Is that a linen Micarta handle?

Yes on the scales. The knife is off in a safe right now but I'll try to remember to take more pics next time I put it in rotation.

Here's another small scale lock from Whiskers Allen though that might tide you over:

L'Etalon cleaning with my Case and Opinel.

Looking good! Love the patina on that Opinel. Did you reprofile the blade or was that just through years of sharpening?

Yes, it's not all about nice shiny new knives.

:) What works, works. I had a Case Peanut for the longest time. Took it with me everywhere, everyday, and it did everything I needed it to. I still do carry by "collection" knives. But the Peanut was really all I needed. Sadly, it slipped out of my watch pocket last month. (Ironically, it was lost while I was at a knife show.)

Every time I see those vanishng points, it makes me want one. But they just seem so small to me. I'll admit I've never seen one in person, but they do look tiny.

I think they're a pretty good size and have a nice heft to it. I gave my matte black one to a friend who likes pens with a bit more girth and weight. :)

Here is a VP with some other pens for size comparison.

So perhaps not as small as I imagined, but certainly on the mid-sized to small range. I've found I like larger pens and really enjoy posting my 580-AL. The size looks a bit odd, but I really enjoy the balance and weight.

Couple of Kaweco Sports, a Stanley knife, and a Victorinox which I believe belonged to my grandad.

I like that top Kaweco! :) And the shield on that Vic...

Sunday = maintenance day. Touchups on the whetstone for my knives and a thorough cleaning and re-inking for the fountain pens.
