Third-Party Cover For Hobonichi Techno Planner?

Can anyone recommend a leather cover that would work for the A6 Hobonichi Techno Planner, other than the ones available directly from Hobonichi? The planner's measurements are listed as 4.1" x 5.8" (http://www.1101.com/store/techo/2015/planner/). I like the Gfeller covers but the measurements for an A6 cover for a Rhodia "webbie" are 3.5" x 5.5". (http://www.gfeller.us/noncart.html)

Perfect! Thank you! I like covers that don't have lots of extras like pen loops, credit card slots, etc. Did you get yours with or without the bookmark?

Without, in black leather. I just use an index card for a marker.

They'll make a custom-sized cover for you. There are actually more colors than listed in this image, including Charcoal and Wintergreen (a dark cool forest green).

I saw a girl had the wonderful Van der Spek planner folks make her a custom one. I was saving up to get a VdS planner, but them I got into fountain pens. But their product is really nice.

Most items on Rakuten that are not available for overseas shipping can be ordered using a forwarding company like Tenso. Your account with Tenso gives you a Japanese address (sort of a post office box but at their office) and you have the Rakuten store ship it to Tenso. Tenso then boxes it up and sends it to you. This is how I order Tomoe River paper as the paper company does not ship outside of Japan. It's really quite easy although the first time it is a bit confusing. Tenso.com has step by step instructions how to do this.

I got a very nice leather cover for my A6 Hobonichi from Strideridge, a Canadian Etsy shop located near Toronto. It has a pen loop but Roger does offer to customize a cover. I think it was CAD $70. Very well made, it will last for years. Just a satisfied customer.

I am extremely happy with the leather A6 Saddleboot Notebook Cover I just got from Franklin Christoph. It fits the Hobonichi quite well and protects a nice pen. The Hobonichi doesn't have room for notes I make in the course of a day. I can slip a small notebook into the outside pocket. Beautiful.

 

The outside of the cover is 6 1/2 inches by 5 1/4 inches. Well priced, beautifully made, and a pleasure to have anything from Franklin Christoph.

I was just visiting Steve at Gfellers Casemakers in Meridian, Idaho, over the weekend. He was unpacking the custom tooling he had designed for creating his new Hobonochi cover (and mine may be the first).

But don't call and expect to get your new Hobo cover soon!

Steve's custom work has a wait time of a few months. but if you can wait, you will own a superbly crafted cover for your little Hobo.

I have a One Star Leather cover for my A6 hobo and the Franklin Christoph for my A5 hobo cousin. They are both very well made. If you want simple I would recommend the One Star. I personally like the F-C a little bit more.
