Oh man....I want it quite badly. I hope they go the way of Hematite and keep it as a regular color in their lineup. I can easily see this becoming their best seller, bar any unfortunate chemical mishaps that are discovered when more people field test this ink in the wild.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Finally some images where I can see the real sheen! Thanks for posting this. I know this ink is sold out EVERYWHERE, but I've been searching for a sample instead of plunking down $26 for a whole damn bottle. Most images use a fine nib instead of the bold you used above! Now I know that I want it too! Hopefully they'll be more in stock soon. :)

I spoke with someone at Goulet today, who mentioned 'at the moment' they were hearing December for more. Sigh.

I figured I would get a sample too, before going in for a bottle. Now it seems I will wait for spring, as December and the next few months is a wee bit cool for ink shipping, here in New England. Ah well.

FPN comments will have to do until then, so thank you one and all for your reviews!

Just got an email from Goulet that this is NOW "in stock!"

Yup -- first time I actually hit the "notify me when back in stock" button, I think. And in the process learned a valuable lesson -- I put my order in by late morning on Wednesday, and the lovely box with its contents wrapped in the lovely blue plastic was on my front porch by late Friday afternoon! Don't think I've ever gotten a shipment from them that fast before (the lesson being: order in the morning, not the afternoon... ;)).

Normally I would have tried a sample first, to see if I liked the ink and to see if it played well with my pens ((I remember all the hype about Bleu Ocean, which I found to be something of a disappointment. But this time, after having seen the written exemplar floating around at DCSS, I decided to go for broke -- I was afraid that it would disappear too fast.

I'm almost afraid to open it (well, okay, I removed the plastic wrap from the box...). I think I'm going to wait till Thursday evening, and make the guys at my pen club meeting go "OOOOOH...." Trying to decide what to try it in first: I could go cheap and safe and use the Guanleming fude pen, or be a daredevil and put it in the Pelikan 100 with the 1.0 (?) mm stub italic...

I was visiting my parents for the long weekend and came back to Boston only to find the bottle of Stormy Grey waiting for me! I immediately transferred some to a sample vial and inked it up. I wanted to test it in a c/c pen first, so I put it in a Pilot Custom 74 B Nib ground down to a smooth stub and the shimmer is mesmerizing! :cloud9:

Just got mine today and am LOVING it. Also ordered my first-ever flex pen (Noodler's Ahab) with it, so that's been fun to experiment with (read: I ended up with ink all over my hands after messing with the nib and feed) :)

I sent the url for the creepy cat to a friend. She said her security program identified it as a spyware/virus risk.

If people are still looking around, I thought I'd mention that Shop Writer's Bloc has it in stock (according to their website). I ordered a bottle, and hopefully I'll get a shipping notification on Monday/Tuesday :D

In the meantime, I did manage to grab a sample of the ink via Goulet Pens and I'm absolutely in love with it! It's beyond gorgeous, and the sheen is just magical.

Ooohhh received my 2 bottles of stormy grey a whole day early with a third en route!!! Squeeeeee!!!

Enjoy! The interesting thing about this ink is that it got me very interested in the Herbin Rouge Hematite and then poof, the Goulets helped me complete my 1670 collection :)
