A Lucky Find From The San Francisco Pen Show

So I was just browsing through table after table when I got to Danny Aarons' table. And then this honking big red pen caught my eye. It seemed familiar, but I couldn't be sure, so I held it up and asked Danny if it was the pen I was thinking of, a long-sold out limited edition of the Churchill. And it was! There was someone else who was interested in it as well, so I held on to it tightly and asked Danny to hold on it for me while I browsed through the rest of the show.

Looks like a pretty fat IF nib....at least in the nib pic....

just found one of these up for sale in, of all places, manila. grabbed it within minutes of hearing about it. i already have a bracket-brown churchill, and had a mint black chased ebonite one some months ago but stupidly sold it, so i won't ever let this one go.

finally, a pic. i'm loving the limited-edition churchill in red ripple that i got from a friend here in manila last saturday. a finicky filler, as often noted about these otherwise gorgeous pens, but can be tamed by an eyedropper. goes well with my home-brewed sepia:
