My New Chandan ( Sandalwood) Pen Made By Fosfor Pens

I'd still be willing to risk it. No point in having a pen (or anything) made of a fragrant wood if you can't smell it, especially one as undistinguished visually as sandalwood. The rosewood pen is lovely finished, but rosewood is prized for its looks and not its aroma.

To my chagrin the Sandalwood already shows that it live(d) on my desk, in the open, ready to grab.

The little spots are ink spatter from far away - I must have shaken the other pen and some drop ended up where I didn't want it!

It's now in a closed wooden box, still on the desk but not so vulnerable...

OTOH you can see how it is already darkening. I am very happy with this process and hope it darkens further...

The other pen is my Rosewood, and it is a beauty...

They both are really nice writers. With my limited experience of one Jowo nib, I think I prefer the Schmidts...

I love the shape on your Chandan Islander. congrats!

While I feel some chagrin over the ink drops falling on my pen, it is not deterring me from using it I too feel that having a pen iis nothing if it sits forever unused.

Thanks for yur reactions, all!

Absolutely. But the unadorned Sandalwood pen is getting a little darker, and it makes my hands smell so nice... and with its slightly broader grip section, it's a little easier on the writing hand.

Hari Sir

One question.

Are these pens heavy...??

You decide.

26.7gms capped, 15.6gms uncapped.

Heavy and light are subjective terms, and everyone will have their own set of comfort levels with these parameters. Also tastes evolve over time. My taste certainly has.
