Parker Sonnet of course.

Really love the design and even though some can be temperamental I think one of the most Iconic pens of the last three decades.

Brand wise Parker again.

Shouldn't there be a voting feature in this thread? Seems easier than scrolling through a month of answers.

Waterman 52 or 7, or is it the 56.

My vote as well. My 52's have some of the best nibs I've had the pleasure to use, and despite being nearly a century old, the pen works like the day it was made.

Parker 51 Aerometric.

Although my Pelikan 400 brown tortoise is coming in as a really close second (maybe I should rename it "Avis" because it's #1-1/2...).

Parker 51. Any flavor.

I honestly have to come in with a tie.

The Parker 51. The World's Most Wanted pen. So many sold they just stopped counting. Permanently inshrined in museums of design. Robust beyond even the factories wildest expectations. Enough colors and variety for anyone. It just keeps performing as designed decade after decade. In a latest survey, 3 out of 4 FPNers own at least one, probably unsurpassed there by Any other pen.

The Esterbrook DJ J. I'd argue it probably sold More than the 51, especially taking their bulk institutional sales into account. The epitome of robustness. Stylish enough to be copied 50 years later by Levenger. A major factor in it's tie is that the P-51 Lived Up to it's maker's expectations, the J today, is in Another Whole Galaxy of admiration than it's makers Ever expected. Also, like the 51 in performance, but more the Timex watch of fountain pens. It takes a licking and just keeps on "ticking".

Modern Parker Duofold. Although some irritations (boring fill-system, uninspired new versions and that it takes a few weeks to get consistent performance) the pen that is the most pleasant to me to write with. Although I have to admit that my M800 is probably better build. What I especially like are the balance, material and nib. Furthermore that I can fly with it without worries about the converter being full or empty.
