My New Lamy 27M :) (Picture Heavy)

I just managed to win a somewhat NOS Lamy 27m off eBay last week. I couldn't wait till it got home, and now here it is.

Its practically new, except for some tiny scratches on the body and cap and to be honest I think I'm in love :). T

he first thing I did was ink it up with my favourite ink, J Herbin Eclat De Saphir, however the pen didn't play so well with the ink and it started to blot on my Leuchtturm1917 notebook, I've noticed this happening with my vintage Mont Blanc 644 as well. Out goes the ink and I fill up with Pelikan Edelstein Tanzanite which works very very well with my Mont Blanc however this blotted as well, and eventually I topped up with the Lamy blue ink, and this works very well. The pen is reasonably smooth with a little feedback.

Overall I'm very very pleased with the pen

@Venemo it is from 1955 :), I however do like their modern line of pens as well

@pennut great, you should visit some of the pen shops, they are quite expensive, but at least worth visiting to take a look

@risingsun @ink-syringe Thanks :)

Some of them are nice, yes, but I dislike the design of the Safari for instance. I do like the exterior of some of their higher end models though.

A very nice looking pen and fantastic picture quality!

Was it won on the ebay.de (considering it is a German maker)?

I could almost recognize the Eclat De Saphir (esp. since you mentioned it, though seems a tad dark in your photo to me). That is my default ink. Just didn't know what the other was.

I love the styling of this pen.

Hello Akshaydashrath,

CONGRATULATION!!!

This is a beautiful pen, I love the blind cap and especially the nib (and the whole feed section). The “m” models are really nice.

Enjoy

Kind regards,

Jan

@Jan

Thank you, yes I was really lucky to get this (or maybe stupid enough to pay the asking price :P)

Beautiful Lamy! Congratulations on the acquisition. I have a Lamy 99 that was also NOS when I got it. It's close to a 27 in some respects, but I still covet a 27 myself. Someday.

I love your pen. I'm a fan of Lamy pens, never had a bad one and love the designs. Looking at this pen made me think of Mad Men.
