Green Kit Pen

I've had this green acrylic sitting around for a while, and an Aristocrat fountain pen kit. So I combined the two on my Harbor Freight lathe and came up with this:

Next I'll have to try a kitless, about how many 4 1/2 inch blanks does it take to make a kitless?

I love how the light plays on the green acrylic, it must be dancing when you move the pen. It's really beautiful and the silver trim completes it very nicely. Good work! :)

This is the second writing instrument I've made from these blanks, I got them from Slabs, Blanks, and Boards. This one is called Yellow Frog.

 

I also made a pencil for my Mother (she's a sketch artist) from their Blowtorch pattern, it has the same depth.
