Parker Imperial Vacumatic

Hello FPN,

I'm currently on a crusade to find a Parker Imperial Vacumatic. Actually, I'm open to any vacumatic with a gold cap in general. According to my research, it was made for a very brief period of time and is rather unusual. I've seen it go on sale, starting at about $400. If anyone could direct me to one at a fair price, it would be greatly appreciated. I would usually post this as a WTB in the classifieds (which I have done), but I'd like to get the opinions of the experts and owners of this pen.

Thank you in advance!

Perth,

Beyond my reach, but when you get it, you have to post pics!

The only Vacumatics with gold caps were the Imperials. There were a few types though: the Imperial Coronet (14kt gold barrel and cap in Coronet pattern), Ensign (14kt gold cap in the Empire State pattern), Imperial (gold filled cap) and Signet (wide 14kt gold jewelers band).

The Imperial with the gold filled cap came in a standard and smaller debutante size. It was available in only black and Golden Pearl.

One in pretty rough shape sold for about $180 on eBay a few months ago.

Whilst researching the Parker Vac book I ran across Surrenden Pens (the Publisher) and they have two available but prices are not listed and you must contact them.

I anticipate that the OP was looking for the laminated vac as opposed to the P51.

The Imperial is seldom seen in the UK, my grail pen too, if you see one at USD400 then I would buy it.

A word of caution, not all sellers will ship to your country due to bad experiences with the mail sytem or fraud, you may need to find a willing go-between in another country.

Are images 3 and 4 under the Parker Vacumatic link not Imperial models? If not, forgive me for that embarrassing error!
