Well then I don't need to worry about it! Thanks for checking into it though. It's helped me look at some of the Sailor pen lineup and there are some new ones at FPH. I'll have to check them out when I travel to the city.

No. When I was first looking at FPs a Sailor was considered, but I ended up with an Aurora. Fountain Pen Hospital has a good selection of Sailor pens. I'll have to make a trip to check out the sizes and how they feel in my hand.

I did but it froze. After ten minutes it was still frozen so I clicked on the previous page, which unfroze it and back to the current page. My post was not there, so I tried again. It froze again and after many minutes I clicked it again Hoping to unfreeze it. Didn't work so I tried again and eventually ended up with three posts. Has been happened more frequently lately.

Depending on how wide their selection is, I am sure that you'll find one you like. They are very good pens.

I'm trying to get anything on this Shirakami-Sanchi 12 lake ink there's only 1 ink on this thing and its not on the internet on anyway

ink name is 青池 [Ao Ike? or Ao chi]

I'm probably not certain if the ink hails from Akita or Aomori... or from what shop in the 2 prefectures unless it's Tomiya... I may have to check it out

it's not Tomiya as it still has 4 inks unless Sailor made a limited run so limited its eluding

Many of the shops in Japan (in regards to ink and pens) will not ship or sell over seas. Quite frustrating, I imagine, but it's their business, their right.

 

The mark-up for "shoppers' in Japan is (to me) a fair mark-up. They go to the stores to make the purchase on your behalf (some shops will not mail out items, even within Japan, period), but sometimes they get stuck with the merchandise and the transportation fees. I think the fee to be a fair exchange, especially with the ones that include shipping into it. It's still loads cheaper than what some Japanese inks are going for on eBay--$70 some +shipping. Ridiculous. If these people would wait a bit longer, they could have the inks they want for half the cost. However, I understand that some cannot wait, their choice.
