oh my gosh how did you get it!!!!!? I want Omaezaki Sea and Sky sooooooo much!!! But a bottle of omaezaki sky or sea is sold like more than 120dollars in China..... that is horrible

The ink was easier to obtain a few months back.

Keep your eye on Vanness's website, they sold it 2 weeks ago. It and some other popular colors sold out within minutes.

Ink, a drug.

$100?!

It's $27 in Japan and $43 in USA. A single bottle ordered directly from either of these would be cheaper.

You get me one

Well...i love inks too. But when I have so much similar colors, the one with prettier bottle always attracts me more.....

There is a practical side as well. Larger pens can not fill from the short, squat bottles.

Do we know for certain that the ink in the short bottles are mixed in the factory? Even if this is so, is that an issue?

as i don't fill pens directly from the bottles (i use syringe), i still don't care how those bottles look :).

By the way, you cannot believe "Montblanc Sakura ink bottle" would be selling about $300 in Chinese online market. :D I have nothing to say about this crazy price.

And here I am, still waiting for bungbox to bring it's price down from stratosphere to troposphere. :)

Whereas Chinese idiots take the price to exosphere. Can't blame them, that's what they have been taught. Counterfeit, sub-standard stuff etc.

Only pink I'd ever use in my pens would be sailor Sakura (2010 LE). Not more than 1-2 fills though, hate pink. But still want to try that color out. :)

^i only dislike people from a certain country in Europe due to repeated bad experiences (9) with them. I can assure you that I have no problems with others. :)

Chinese idiots I am referring to are the ones who sell a bottle of bungbox sapphire for $100.

and why they are idiots? i suppose they know their market and know that even at that price the bottle will be bought. so, the seller spent 40 bucks buying that bottle and got a hundred selling it. nice business.

it's morally reprehensible only in, say, martin shkreli-like situation, but ink is not vital to our health or survival.

so, why idiots then?

If you think that way, maybe I should start selling pen & message ink bottles for $100 too. Buying out the entire stock in one go and selling it at 200% profit. I can assure you that I am capable enough of doing that and already have ample resources. :)

I know my market better than Chinese do and I won't be spending $40 a bottle. More like $25.

Okay, people. Time to put my moderator's hat on and rein this in.

INK discussions only. No politics or squabbling. There are other forums for that. 'Nuff said.

I now return you to you ink discussions. INK. Got it?

Everyone likes and prefers to buy stuffs at a fair price :D

But keep calm guys, no need to argue about this issue.

There should be several restock for Sailor ink this late November and next February so just keep our eyes focus on their webs :bunny01:

Ere, actually those sellers bought the ink at Japanese market price, which might be $20 or something. Then they put into the auction market or webstore and sell those inks around $100 or more.

They were not idiots but their ethics were not good. :)

We all love ink and that is what the main topic is and why we get together here. :happyberet:

and Parker Penman Sapphire sold @ a US pen show a few weeks ago for $125.00 ..............

I believe Mr. P.T. Barnum had a phrase about such behavior...............

AND I have certainly exhibited equally fiscally irresponsible behavior with MORE than one purchase.

Thankfully 'ALL I WANT IS ONE bottle of BB SWEET POTATO PURPLE" & THEN "I will be happy!"
