Rihei Inks

富士山本宮浅間大社ジャパンレッド Fujiyama Hongou Sengen Taisha Japan Red (The Great Shrine's Library of Mount Fuji Japanese Red) I hope I got the context right I do know there is a Shrine near Mount Fuji but not a library...

筆楽宴 書落(かけおち)グリーン Fude kano utage Kakeochi Green (Kakeochi calligraphy green?)

にじますピンク Hajimasu Pink (First Pink?)

富士宮やきそばオレンジ Fujiyama Yakisoba Orange (Mount Fuji Yakisoba Orange)

富士山ブルー Fujiyama Blue

赤富士レッド Akafuji red (Red Fuji Red)

朝霧高原グリーン Asagiri Kougen Green (Morning mist on the Plateau Green)

富士山湧水アクアブルー Fujiyama Yusui Aqua Blue (Mount Fuji's Spring water Aqua Blue)

PS the pen clinics doesnt mean your tied to Sailor the pen clinics themselves are more of the heritage culture that Sailor has because it's a pen company that started as a pen repair company MEANING AS LONG AS THEY ARE FPs the... specialists will repair your pen regardless of brand it could be delta, pilot, vintage so on and so forth but if you also want a more through repair with parts Euro-box will be your go to person he will repair vintage IF you are in Japan anyway...

Not only FPs! They have fixed some of my dip pen nibs as well! But you are correct that brand does not matter. They can not retip a pen that is not there own brand however. Sailor is not the only company to offer this. I have had my pens worked on by Pilot and Sailor nib Meisters, and possibly Platinum too.

A quicky on searching Nihonbashi Takeshimaya inks made me stumble on this one does this mean we have at least 9 inks from takeshimaya? Tinjapan I may need your help on this one

http://togetter.com/li/467862 <-- twitter boards

Hmmm, I must have misposted, ie. replied to the email notification again. They are completely sold out of all their inks. However, they have a space on the shelve reserved for their inks held by two empty Sailor ink boxes. The cards you posted a pic of are still hanging on a hook. Does this mean that they hope to resupply? Mew can only hope. I will stop by and check whenever I am in the area, which is not all that often.

I highly recommend returning to Japan. Just don't make finding any specific ink the main goal. You will most likely leave disappointed if you do. These inks are very popular with the local folks and many are already sold out.

I see, I've underestimated how rare and limited edition the Sailor inks would be, I thought they'd have some kind of preset event schedule yearly. I admit, it might be just simpler to arrange a sale via proxy services if I'm just looking for inks atm.

The seasonal fruits red colors look a bit light for ink don't you think?

Also, how many of these inks are truly a special variation on a color instead of just custom packaging?

A very good question as many colors are very similar. I know that Kingdom Notes inks were made by the same fella who blended mine. The shop manager sat down with him and the colors were made. Same is true with the now sold out Nihombashi Takashima inks. I believe the same is true with the other stores selling there own ink colors. That said, if X number of shops all want a blue black ink, there are naturally going to be same that look very much like another.

I'm working on the oranges right now, and although there are slight differences, enough that my experienced eye can tell them apart, they are so slight that most people wouldn't notice unless looking in person, very closely. I think my favourite is the Onago-iro Honey, just because it's got more light areas in the shading, but that's the main difference. Just FYI.

Some certainly are limited edition. Others are not but may or may not be resupplied. Kingdom Note had 50 of each color of their first five inks made. They may order more when sold out. That was what the monager told me when they first released them. I'm assuming the same is true for the newer ten colors. Takashima in Nihombashi says they are trying to resupply but they have not this entire year. I do not know what difficulty they may be having nor if they can overcome it.

That's good to hear, I'd be a little silly if I arrived in Japan in say est. 3-5 years in the future later and asking around for inks which have been out of production for awhile. I know many items can be only seasonal from past exp for looking around online for exclusive/pre-order only items and being mildly disappointed with my results.

Sigh. Just been cruising through admiring all the lovely inks, and then I see the bottom line...nice to dream! So beautiful...

That is only true if you get them in Japan... the rest of the world will have to pay between $30 - $40 USD per bottle. :bawl: :bawl: :bawl: :bawl:

No one can get them all. Some or many are already sold out and resupply availability is unknown. The LE inks are just plain gone. This year's LE Maruzen inks as well as last year's are sold out. A few bottles of two years ago's ink remain on the shelves. All older inks are long since sold out.

Buying little by little over a long time, many more will be sold out long before the whole collection could be purchased. Doubtless, a few new inks will also be offered here and there in various small quantities.

$31. Per bottle in the States is a very good price. Shipping them is not cheap. Insuring them as a business must just adds to the cost. Then there is the packing material.

Ohh god I thought my job is done... 15 more INKS

There seems to be a lot hidden out there, here and there.

I can't find any access information, you know, where the store is and how to get there. It looks like it Joyful Honda. There are several stores around Japan. If my reading is correct, it should be the "Shinda" store.
