The Omaezaki Ocean Blue ( the lighter one is Sky Blue) is fantastic, BB inks are hard to geteven here in Japan. They have them in stock one moment and then they are out of stock the next only to silently reappear some time later...if you are lucky. With this one, I finally got lucky. Hope you do too.

This represents a real effort on the part of the great people at Vanness to make the rarer Sailor inks more available to us in the US. I have already sent a message applauding this, and encouraging them to get more. Everyone on this thread should do likewise--I'm sure it wasn't easy to get these inks, and we need to let them know their efforts will be worthwhile.

I have decided to try and do the same for people in Canada. I am going to experiment with buying one of every ink in a set (eg. Onago-iro) and then sell in 4mL sample packs, so everyone can get to try them out before they buy a full bottle.

Great reference sheet! You have a lot of greens!

Actually, this is not all I have. Ran out of space on the paper!

In truth, many of these I have only samples of from when I was an Ink blot subscriber at Goulet Pens.

Hi all, while unable to sleep last night at 5am :gaah: I came across a link on rakuten that offers writing samples of many of the Kobe inks. Some are colors I had not found writing samples of before so I thought the pics might also be helpful for others looking for more information on these wonderful inks. To make sure I give credit where it is due, the writing samples and scans are not mine and were all pulled from this website:

I was going to try to pair them with their Kobe #s and English translations but I was having a hard time with many of them so I figured I would just post the pictures :P

These ink writing samples are great, especially since green is my favorite color.

Saskia, do you have someplace where a person can order your Sailor samples from? I would be interested in some.

Third from the bottom is (temple name) yellow the other is ( new?land) gold. I will look for the actual yellow and gold names, but this is a start.

Bstnnyc,

Thanks for the sample!

You're welcome! Of course I ended up ordering a couple of them afterwards  Combined with the insomnia this Sailor addiction is becoming my version of QVC/HSN :P

I think I remember seeing a review from Saskia on that one if you are looking for better photos and an extra push to get a bottle :P
