That is absolutely gorgeous; where did you purchase it?

This is one of the best ink threads ever; just as you discover a new Sailor, another pops up :bunny01:

Hi stevesurf like you I love (/am addicted to) this thread haha

This ink has been hands down one of my favorites out of all of the Sailors that I've been able to try. (The proof is that I have only 3 pens inked while visiting my parents for Xmas and this is one of the inks I have loaded :) ) It is actually one of the inks from the line you posted a link to: the Onago-Iro Days Inks. It is this one:

http://sailorshop.jp/SHOP/13-2000-010.html

I've been purchasing most of the Sailors, this one included from Atsu of cool-japan whom Saskia_Madding introduced me to. There is a link to his contact information in Saskia_Madding's signature. He has been so helpful and easy to deal with that I keep coming back for more! When I ordered this ink from him he explained that the Onago Iro inks are made-to-order, so it takes about 10-14 days from the order to the shipment. However he was able to get this one to me even faster. I hope this helps!

Best,

Bahij

Now if we could only find a Sailor red approaching the Tom Ford nail polish called "Smoky Red", I'd achieve ink nirvana.

I'd sign up for one of those reds too :) I wish Sailor would set up an ink clinic for custom blends at the DC show!

You're welcome! This is indeed the correct bottle for "About to Leave", so you are safe to place an order! :)

Guys and gals, help me decide! I know these are not very similar, but which is a *must get*: About to Leave, Hakodate Twilight, or BungBox Sapphire? Thanks :D

It's Odekake not kanji but katakana

Does that say "Odekake Denim"? Is its name not really About to Leave, then?

ETA: Odekake apparently means "outing." I don't know what the word before that is, though, but this page suggests "Denim" is part of its name:

the denim is the inspirational color for the ink AKA inspirational image as the story goes on the summary of the ink posted in Sailor's website using the "casual denim jeans that women wear when going out was the inspirational color" for the lack of the better word I could give for the image Edited by Algester

Ah, I can't read anything but kana, so I missed that.

Now I see on the label, too, that Odekake is in a separate little dark blue bubble by itself. Maybe that's where the official name appears and the rest is just inspiration notes.

but the reading on the label goes like

oshyare onnago no

odekake

denim

translates as

the Stylish womman's about to leave denim (maybe I'm a bit loose on the translation) it could be tripping denim or outgoing denim

"About to Leave" is definitely the most poetic interpretation. :)

It depends on what you're looking for. I think Hakodate Twilight is the most unique, BB Sapphire is the most striking and vibrant (and the darkest in colour), and About To Leave is probably the middle ground - nice colour but not dark, plenty of sheen, and good shading. However, if you're looking for a darker colour blue, then BB Sapphire is your best bet.

Oh I wish! I'm already trying to convince a friend from Okinawa to make a serious ink buy for me when she goes to visit her mom next year.

On the status of Bung-Box inks: I emailed Atsu (cool-japan) yesterday inquiring about Dandyism, Sapphire, and Sunset of Omaezaki. He replied almost immediately, saying that he had Dandyism, but that the other two were not available. I ordered the Dandyism, and he also has bottles of Kobe #1 (Rokko Green) and #37 (Island Blue) on their way to me. It will be interesting to see how similar the Dandyism and Kobe #1 are, using several of my pens.

I have bought several inks from Atsu on eBay before, but this was the first time I had contacted him personally. Great customer service!
