Yes, Dandyism is very nice. Sadly, it too is sold out. I stopped by KN last Wednesday and asked about their inks. None are sold out.

Thank you for checking Tinjapan! TJ is my favorite ink right now so I ordered a back up bottle after your last post just to be on the safe side :)

Also, who wants to see the SankoDo inks? :D Sadly, it's only moderately sunny today, so you don't get quite the full effect.

Lots more pictures starting here.

Thank you for posting these photos Saskia! The Atsuta Forest Green is especially calling my name :P Which are your favorites of the SankoDos so far?

...did someone say sweet potato? If a group buy is happening, I am also Super In :)

Mmm ok... I cannot find Sweet Potato Purple on the website. I guess I will have to check first if is even available in 12's.

I ordered mine directly from Bung-Box and was told it was the very last bottle. I don't know if that means Kaoru no longer even has batches of 12 though.

(My personal take on the ink: that sheen, oddly enough, only comes out sometimes. At other times it looks like an ordinary purple ink, which is a pity because when that sheen comes out, it is truly gorgeous.)

Chrissy: I'm willing to hold your bottle if we can get it.

Oddly enough, sweet potato purple is one of the ones that doesn't seem to be offered in between the release dates each year. Last year when they sold out their batch, they didn't have any in offer until this September.

The Sankodo inks are really nice, beatinnyc! The Atsuta is nice but not as thrilling as many other grey-greens by sailor. The only odd thing is that the little sheen it has is more silver than red or gold. Interesting. But most of the time it looks kind of matte and dull, especially on TR paper. The at surimi blue will be great for mixing but isn't stellar on its own. The dark purple is awesome, my favourite so far. Port Blue is gorgeous, but not so different from other sailor blues, and reminds me a lot of diamine Tchaikovsky. Osu red is a great colour with light sheen and no shading (sadly). In terms of back ups (a sure fire way to tell if I liked an ink), I ordered two purples, though I may pull back to just one), and one red. That's it to far.

Thank you Saskia; I was hoping you would say this! I'm looking to keep the ink spending down so I will hold off on Atsuta and keep on enjoying Dandyism :) That dark purple does look beautiful, so it has just been added to the ink wishlist!

I do have one more Sailor question. I realized the other day that I don't have any light blue inks that are not turquoise based, so I am thinking of getting either the Kingdom Note Rosalia Batesi, the Onago-Iro About to leave, or the Kobe#17 Shioya Blue. I am leaning towards the Kobe 17 because out of the three it looks like it combines a nice mix of brightness, shading and sheen, but I wanted to ask which of the three is the most interesting, if I can only get one?

I'm having serious problems buying the Sailor Higurashi ink off ebay. I have now bought it from three different sellers only to have all three sellers cancel the transaction and telling me they don't have it in stock. Is there a way to report this on ebay? It's incredibly frustrating and I was really looking forward to getting it.. Anyone else encountered the same problem?

I predict Saskia will say... About to Leave. :)

She's right. I do prefer About To Leave. Kobe #17 is nice, but About To Leave is like Hakodate Twilight. I really do like it a lot. Rosalia Batesti is kind of ... I mean it's nice, but it's a bit too light, dry, and kind of boring.

I just put in my order for the Onago-Iro "About To Leave"! As Saskia noted the ink is listed as out of stock on the website, so if anyone is looking to get it or any of the other Onago Iro inks as gifts for the holidays I would recommend putting the order in now. Atsu mentioned that these inks take longer to ship than other Sailors; he wrote:"as the inks are made-to-order, they will blend the ink after receiving the order. It takes about 10-14 days from the order to shipment."

I know I'm buying into Sailor's marketing strategy, but I love the idea of ordering freshly mixed inks! And now of course I'm tempted to order a couple more, because I have my eye on the other blue ("Happiness") and would like to try one of the two oranges, but I don't know if I should go even deeper into inky debt :P
