Pen Chalet shows their list price @ $25.00, with sale price of $22.50, yet with their Memorial Day Discount of 10%, they should be around $20.25. Not as good surely as the Anderson's generous discounted original offering @ $20.00, but better than Sailor's $25.00 listed price.

Congrats! They're out-of-stock on the Apricot and Sky High.

For anyone curious, those awesome Tsutaya Bookstore Ginza inks are out of stock and there is no intention at this time to make them again. <sigh!>

I guess it won't discontinue forever and it could be just for a year or so. (hopefully :()

The Tutaya Ginza inks were LE. There will be more colors available this summer, also LE, but tthhe thrreee they started with are sold out and will not be restocked..

So you scalpers out there, get your contacts in place so they can buy the entire stock before those of us who live and work here have a chance to get any.

I thought the re-issue colors were only for the North American market. Interesting.

C.

Yes, I bought them from USA(Anderson's Pen).

I hope Sailor could re-issue Sherbet Color.

:)

I was lucky enough to get two of those. The mint is really nice.

Right?!

I've had conversations privately with other members on here and Instagram about the matter. Some of the discussions are brief, some in depth, but it's always surprising how many do not care about ink speculators/scalpers, their methods and the resulting outcomes. As long as they get their shop exclusives, they typically do not care. :c(

At the very least, I encourage people to get the inks themselves. Many of which can be attained via the assistance of Google translate and a simple forwarding service. The irony here is that they can usually buy the inks for less than the auctions or listings one will see in many places. However, some don't want to deal with the hassle or provide personal information most forwarding services require (understandable, I suppose).

Thankfully, many shops have put into place various measures to help circumvent the scalping of inks and other methods to ensure locals have a fighting chance. While this may be a blow to foreigners, we'll manage!

A short while ago, KN was almost complety stocked but very quickly sold out. Some one is selling them online at double price and had "Only 6 left" of each color.

Despite the limits placed upon Maruzen and Mitsukoshi LE show inks, sellers were advertising amounts for sale that exceeded these liimits. I have seen the ink buying frenzy first hand, actually have been witnessing it first hand two maybe three years now.

I have not looked for nor run across the Ginza Tsutaya inks for sale online, but their being sold out within a couple of days is just part of this new pattern.

By comparison, I was able to save up for many MONTHS to buy an entire set of KN inks. That was their first three sets. I was online when their initial sale of their crustaceans series went live and had three colors in my virtual cart and when putting the 4th in they were taken out of my cart. I ended up with NONE of any of the five colors despite initially having some in my cart. These were sold online for far greater than their offering price.

And now, I can no longer reorder my bespoke ink that Mr. Ishimaru blended for me at Itoya because people have been reselling these online too.

I am not against people earning money by providing service to others, such as buying ink and offering it to people who otherwise would not have access to the market. But for several years now, there are those who have found ways to buy up a store's entire stock only to sell them at greatly inflated prices while those of us who live here can not even enjoy what our local shops offer.

Is there a list of shop names associated with each ink line and their locations somewhere? I think that may be helpful in case people travel to Japan and want to see if they'll be nearby any of the shops.

Maybe the first post can be modified to contain this info? This thread has 164 pages so far and growing after all...

I like that first blue one a lot. It reminds me of another color though, but I cannot remember which one.
