Sorry, now I have to jump in.... ;-)

Diamine Majestic Blue is one of my favorite inks, and it has red sheen with normal writing on papers like Rhodia, Leuchtturm and Tomoe. Not necessary to have the very thick layer as shown here.

Now I am curious what is wrong with Diamine Majestic Blue, I could never see any feathering, bleed through or whatsoever, so AndyYNWA or gylyf please enlighten me... :-)

I can't speak for anyone else, but the few times I've tried DMB, I've found it to cause hard starts and to dry out on the nib fairly quickly. I've also found that over time, on the page, it takes on a greenish cast that I dislike. I'm happy for you that you've had positive experiences with it - that's the beauty of this hobby! :)

With respect to Bungunomori Kaya, it sheens quite readily on all papers and does not require the layers seen in the post above. It's a wonderful ink.

You have this ink? Can you please show a writing sample with a pen, if possible and not too much trouble?

Thanks. :)

Wow...Shosaikan green is really stunning color. It is similar to Bungubox Olive Green (88 tea) and the color developing is way exceeding my expectation. I haven't opened my bottle yet, but your sample trial really attracts me.

Hey, Miujojo32! Are you going to the Maruzen event next week?

I hope I can go, but I cant.

I'll looking for the limited"櫻通" ink.

I was told it looks wretched in fine or dry nibs. More like the lightest part of the first character on the second row (of the last sample card image). However, it seems to look splendid in broader, wetter pens.

When you get around to opening the bottle, do post a writing sample! :c)

Sakura? Based on my non-existent Japanese knowledge, this would be pink, I think?

Any colour samples?

Yes Shoshaikan Shin-zan is very similar to BB 88 Green Tea. The latter is a bit more yellow. I thought I'd done a review of both back in 2015, but the Ink Review Index only lists my Bungbox review. I thought I had revisited the Shin-zan after receiving a sample last year, but it doesn't look like I did.

I will definitely make it happen soon as long as you won't be disappointed with my handwriting. :P

I am looking forward to see this year's MARUZEN fountain pen exhibition.

Atsu has a bottle of Shosaikan Shin-zan for sale on eBay. The bidding has reached US$92 with two days to go! At this rate, it'll sell for well over $100.

Rationalizing pen and ink purchases since 1967.

Ummmm....NO!

I just want to write with it. Reminds me of that Beanie Babies craze that snatched toys away from kids & gave them to collectors.
