So are these going to be limited edition still or part of the regular line now?

These will not be a part of standard line of iroshizuku and will not be sold worldwide. But they told me that these will be available in Itoya for now, and some other specific stores in Tokyo area (I have no idea which ones). For how long, no idea.

I asked them for catalogue/written samples, but they didn't have those either. So I dug up the Internet and found samples of 2 colours.

I don't have any writing samples of Shimbashi-Iro, but here's a bottle pic:

This one has "Get rid of me" written all over it.

Other 2 are really nice though.

These might the first inks that I may ever have to ration.

I went to Itoya on Monday and reserved one bottle each of all 3 new iroshizuku inks. :)

The new colours are:

江戸紫 (Edo)

新橋色 (Shinbashi)

深川鼠 (Fukagawa)

I think these are re-release of colours issued by Pilot in 2009 as limited edition.

This is the catalogue which comes with the inks. You can either take 50ml bottles or 15ml set of 3 bottles.

Same as the one posted by swanjun, but this has 2 prices written at the bottom. They didn't sell the smaller bottles back in 2009.

Blue-blacks, fellow wretch. :P

I bought Norwegian wood, 4B and L'amant today. That takes Bungbox tally to 9 colours.

Does anyone have matador? Can they tell the properties of the ink after reasonable usage? And a writing sample?

I've used this ink some months ago, and my findings were as follows:

The ink is a bright red with a lot of green sheen and has good shading with a Sailor H-M nib (western F). The flow was good, but I can't recall the dry time.

Thank you, wijko. I was told that Bungbox matador was a very dry ink, and I wanted an opinion from 2 people before buying it. Guess I'll wait for someone else to post about it, or do a review.

Maybe Saskia or migo can help.

I actually don't have it, I don't think. Sorry Mew! Migo's your only hope now. :)

No problem. :)

I hope Migo notices this post quickly. :)

I'll add sapphire, Dandyism and some other ink to the order too if matador red turns out to be okay.

Hi Mew. I did have Matador but sold it a while back because I wasn't using it and I have reds that I prefer. It's a middle-of-the-road ink in terms of dryness, quite smooth and has a reasonable amount of sheen but wasn't particularly note-worthy or special for me.

I cannot believe I read this entire thread in one sitting. I need to have my head examined.
