For someone like me, who doesn't use blue inks, having 22 blue inks is just sad, because they'll never be used. Worse is that I have multiple bottles of some colours like vintage denim (3) and seiran (3 or 4).

I like Blue very much.... but for writing, I prefer using Green, Red, Brown, Orange and Gold.. So, I get it.

I've used blue inks exclusively for almost 9 years. It's not like I dislike the colour, but I tend to pick up other colours (green, brown, red, purple etc.) more. It's when I started counting them, it occurred to me that I don't use them as often as 22 blue inks in a collection of 150 inks should be used.

 

Edit: I didn't even realise that I had accumulated so many until I hit 21. Don't have many blue blacks (4) so I'll those now.

Pretty much. Red is my favourite colour. Always have one pen inked up with that colour.

I bought Norwegian wood, 4B and L'amant today. That takes Bungbox tally to 9 colours.

 

Does anyone have matador? Can they tell the properties of the ink after reasonable usage? And a writing sample?

You use that much ink in painting etc or any other hobby too? I have only used mine 2-3 times.

Just to be clear, I didn't actually use the word 'dislike'. I consider the words 'doesn't like' as polite and harmless, whereas I think 'dislike' seems more aggressive somehow. So that's why I didn't say that.

 

I don't think I have 22 inks in my collection that 'will never be used' but it may be a close run thing. I usually sell them before it comes to that.

I think these are re-release of colours issued by Pilot in 2009 as limited edition.

The new colours are:

江戸紫 (Edo)

新橋色 (Shinbashi)

深川鼠 (Fukagawa)

They are. Their full names would be Edo-Murasaki, Shimbashi-Iro, and Fukugawa-Nezu.
