@kanayama: it is the same colour as tochiotome red, just renamed. One of the sales representative mailed me a few hours back saying that it will go on sale tomorrow.

They have renamed the ink and changed the bottle.

That said, I can vouch for its pinky-red cuteness if anyone missed out when it was called Tochiotome!

Have a writing sample? Looks kinda pale on the order page. Edited by Mew

The brown looks interesting, but it's getting difficult justifying so many browns and Sepias in my inventory.

+1.... If you noticed, the "scribble" at the top looks more saturated than the one at the bottom.... (Or my eyes are playing tricks on me)

If the real color is the one at the bottom, it looks much less interesting. ;-)

Me thinks you're correct.

I think I'll sit out on these two colors.

Tsutaya Umeda also released 4 new inks this month. (sold out now :( ) . I heard they will restock them in Spetember.

Is there a link to that store's ink page? I'd like to see about getting some of those bottles when they restock in September.

Thanks!

I was thinking about getting Mashiko Amber from joyful-2, even added it to the cart, and then backed out. :|

Not different enough from other brown inks I have.

Here's one on cream Tomoe River paper. Not the best camera/lighting conditions, unfortunately. In reality, the ink is brighter and more red.

Nice picture.

I would take your comment because the real color does go more red instead of pink. It might be more like a bucket of fresh strawberry. But I was enjoying the color. It also goes with a little golden sheen on it. (I use my kobe ink notebook)

I see at least 3 people disowning me if I ever use that ink. :)

Seems really bright too. Thank you for the pic. :)

Anyway, I dozed off and missed it. :|

Sailor has definitely fallen astray.

Hardly. These pastel shades are extremely popular and are being snapped up. I like quite a few of them; they make a refreshing change from the usual fare. The pale blue is very pretty and reminds me of the cobalt blue used in traditional porcelain design.
