Well I assumed you would be. I was just referring to the Kitashinchi Beniyo.

I have 2 bottles on the way. The limit can be worked around ;-)

Indeed. Even Usagiya's limit can be stepped over. However, thankfully, I only like one of the Stationery Delta inks and I don't do duplicates of shop exclusives.

Migo, did you also order Nakanoshima Shunryoku? I'm very interested to know whether it has any water resistance; so far the two similar Sailor greens I've tried (Kobe Minatogawa Lime and BB Light Soup) have absolutely none.

No I only ordered the pink. I'm already drowning in green inks.... :-D

I must admit that water resistance isn't what I look for, as I often use inks for pen & ink washes.

I only buy duplicates when I've got an idea for a swap, with someone already in mind :-)

I understand. In this case, I'm looking for a fairly saturated spring or lime green Sailor ink for writing in a journal, with about the same degree of water resistance as e.g. iroshizuku chiku-rin (albeit somewhat darker than chiku-rin).

How can it be stepped over? I had to have WRE buy the inks for me separately and pay the extra shipping. I was not thrilled, but I did get the inks in the end.

It's my understanding that the only Sailor inks with any waterproof qualities are their Nano inks and the Storia line.

I'm looking for some water *resistance*, like what's seen in (for example) chiku-rin or Pilot Blue. This isn't the same thing as waterproof.

Oh yes, I have a bottle -- I love its color and its performance is excellent, except that unfortunately it has zero water resistance.

Sorry, the term water resistance escaped me. My understanding is that Sailor inks offer next to no resistance to water except for those ink specifically stated as having such resistance.

Pilot inks, I recently learned, do have water resistance as an intrinsic quality.

Interesting! I hadn't known that.

Fortunately, a good number of Sailor inks do have decent water resistance, including some greens (e.g. Tokiwa Matsu, BB Dandyism, Kobe #28) so it's not completely hopeless.

I just tried Sailor waka-uguisu & it washed clean off the page, so you can rule that one out.

Have you tried Kobe #43? I don't have it here so can't test for water-resistance.

According to Tokyo Pen Shop Quill, Pilot undertook great effort to produce nonpigment based inks with water resistance. Quill has a folder of their own water tests of Pilot inks, I was impressed.

Not generally concerned about water resistance I have tested any myself. I have operated under the assumption thatbunless specifically stated, that FP ink is not water resistant. An assumption that has been proven false by Pilot's ink and the Sailor inks you mention.

Thank you for testing that! I was in fact thinking about getting a bottle -- but you've saved me from Yet Another Disappointment. ;-)

And yes, I do have a bottle of Kobe #43 -- great color, maybe a bit on the light side of ideal, but it also turned out to have zero water resistance.

Excellent info, thanks Tinjapan for posting where you learned about this.

About a week ago, Usagiya lifted the one per account limit and raised it to 3 for a few days. I used mine and my friend's rakuten account to order 6 inks. It's back to 1 per account now.

#1 Kojima Denim

#4 Korakuen

#7 Ushimado Ege Kai

#8 Kinojyo No Akaoni

#14 Okayama No Souten

#18 Akaiwa Wine

Apparently, they give free shipping for orders above 6000 yen, so I didn't pay any shipping on both orders.

I still want #5, #10 and #11. :|

I have to disagree with haruka. The pink one looks like it may be similar to the very beautiful Tokugawa-en Botan. I'll probably get a bottle to try it out.

To me, it also looks quite similar to pen land cafe Red cliff. Would you be able to post a writing sample whenever you receive it?

I already have the older shades from the time they were released in diamond bottles. Older labels were better. :)
