Is This A Fine Or Medium Nib?

Hi, I'm looking for a 149 on eBay, ideally with a medium nib or higher. I've heard elsewhere that as they're handground montblanc nibs can vary in size. Here are some photos of one where I'm not sure of it's size. I'd really appreciate people's opinions:

I depends on what kind of paper he is writing on and how much pressure was put on the nib to make those lines.

 

That nib looks alot like the one on my 146 and makes a similar line. I would classify the nib on my 146 as a fine nib. So, my vote is that it is a fine.

If he is writing on run of the mill copy/printer paper-- which is what I assume he is doing, then that is a F.

my 149 is marked medium via its west germany M sticker

 

but it writes close to xf-F so its depends on paper

Because these nibs are hand tuned, there is a lot of variance. My nib on my 149 is supposed to be a fine but it writes like a Visconti medium...Montblanc's Fine nibs are generally around the 0.45 mm width give or take a few millimeters.

 

Regardless of it's supposed to be a medium or fine, if the line that the pen puts down is to your liking, then get it. From your picture, that looks like a medium line that my Pelikan or Visconti's make, but for MB that could be considered a fine.

This looks like an EF to me.

I don't think it's EF because the 149 EF nib has a longer point.

 

For me it will be either F or M

from the first pic, I would say that the nib was reground but I can be wrong
