Didn't see you, but was also there, lol! Going back tomorrow!

Danny does great work. I often bring him pens he can work on at home, so no rush! He knows all my cruddy pens, lol.

It's a great show this year!

Looking forward to seeing the others tomorrow...note:

There are actual FPN name badges at the admissions desk. Pls grab one and put your FPN= name on them and wear so we can all figure out who's who! Hooker56 has his own.....lol! Can hardly wait!!

I took plastic today and at DC. The PayPal reader is awesome. Had a great time today. Looking forward to Saturday.

I know Vanness takes plastic too. And they have all those Akkerman inks. :)

Oh my goodness what a great show so far. Please let me know if we met -- I was the one who tried out every single flex nib in Michael Walker's and Jim Pierson's stock. (Found treasures!) I was wearing a brown skirt, red tennis shoes, and a tiny backpack, if that helps.

Not at all, lol.....but did you check out the flex as Susan Wirth's table......omg! There is a Fairchild I would kill for, but way outta my price range!!! No wonder it writes like a dream!!!! See you today....

I had a great Friday. I came home with five Kaweco sport pens to replace one I lost. Pendemonium had them at their table for $10 each. I couldn't help myself. I met Carol and John from Luxury Brands who turned out to be my neighbors. Came back with more ink from Dromgoole's; like I don't have enough. My best purchase of the day was a new Delta DolceVita Gallery pen with a Fine nib from Bryant at Chatterley Luxuries. Bryant was was great to deal with, I highly recommend them. The photo below is the pen I purchased.

The best part of the day was helping a lady who was new to pens pick out her first pens and ink. It was fun teaching her the little I know and watching someone else get interested in fountain pens.

Looking forward to next year.

Mike

First pen show and I had an AMAZING time. Didn't even think about my aching feet until we were walking out a little after 5:00 (got there shortly after 9:00 a.m.) It was great meeting FPN people and coming home with waaaay too much great stuff. I had such a fun time hanging with TXKat that it would have been a wonderful day even without penophile (my husband's name for us) goodies. And I unloaded the Levenger Pen From Hell on TXKat!!

Had a wonderful time! Sold lots of Danny Fudges pens and 3 of my LE's (made three people very happy!) Bought some super pens that I am very happy with! Enjoyed talking to so many of my pen friends from over the years and getting to meet all kinds of new friends and fellow FPNers! Great to meet you ScienceChick and TXKat, good to see my old bud Hooker! I talked to hundreds of people and dozens of them from FPN. Wish I had written down everyones names and FPN handles so I could better put names to faces in the future! If you and I talked at the show and you see this post, please post and say hi and share your pen finds!

Who was Bryant?? Unless they mentioned FPN on their name tag as a vendor, only about 4 of us put name tags on to identify ourselves. Oh well. Still met some fun people!

Bryant of Chatterly Pens - he had a table against the wall next to Susan Wirth's setup. He's a younger guy, dark hair, had some sneakers with spikes on the toe. Always wore a jacket.

His table had all the Delta and Visconti and I think a load of vintage Montblanc, but I didn't get to spend much time looking over there.

This is him on the left-

FUNTIMES!

I won a nice lapis Lady Duofold ringtop in the auction for a little below what I've seen them go for in auctions. I purchased several WASP Clippers that I've been after lately, but the best item for me was a pen cap pulling tool that went for about 1/2 it's retail value on the auction table!

Now I can take the dents out of all my dented caps with ease!

Always, though, the best part of any show is meeting new friends and seeing old ones! Kidde, TxKat, ScienceChick, all local FPNers that met and compared notes. Got to meet Shawn Newton and Chris Thompson and see some of their beautifully crafted pens firsthand. Danny Fudge left a plethora of shiny and functioning pen in his wake, and Perry rode off into the sunset in his new 'vette! I'll bet it was a beautiful ride back to Arkansas, Perry.

'Till next year- YeeHaw!

It was great to talk with you this year Clayton! It was a beautiful ride back to Arkansas! Hooked up with a red Ferrari coming out of Dallas and a yellow Porsche through much of Oklahoma and we hot footed it north. Had to run alone on my run east along I-40.

Yes! Now I know who Bryant is, but didn't notice the shoes. My bad. Perry, you drive like I like to, hehehehehe...sounds like a colorful blur!

BTW...did anyone get to see the beautiful red leather case Michael custom made? He mentioned it would be at the show, but I didn't see it anywhere. Was really hoping to get a look at that bad boy

Next year is really going to have to step it up to be a great as this year was!!! Now....if I could just stay away from Dromgoole's, lol!

That was mine. :) I was there all day Friday but had to leave at 11 on Saturday. I'm local, though. Maybe we can meet up sometime?

Lucky lady!!! I was there early both days. Where were you situated?

I spent a little bit of time everywhere. I'm sorry we didn't run into each other. Maybe we did and didn't know it? I had on a nametag, but sometimes those are hard to read. I was carrying a pink Vera Bradley backpack.
