Closer.

Ah ha!! So, it's not just me. Mine is a rather odd purpley-red.

It's not what I expected or wanted but I'm using it for anything that doesn't leave the house... may eventually use it for envelopes since it is bulletproof. :)

I bought two bottles when it first came out and this looks like nothing like that version.

Galileo is my favorite brown.

Brown.

This isn't brown.

Yes, exactly! Brown is what I had hoped for but not what I got. FPN Admin are aware. I'll not bother with FPNGMB again, I'm very happy with the N#41Brown I already have. And the FPNVGSN and FPNDTN are lovely so I'm content.

Experiments to follow.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

I wonder, could there be a mix-up and this was a batch of the new Voltaire red? Which I have never seen.....

I have had serious inconsistencies with Noodlers custom products before, but I was hoping this wouldn't be one of them.

I have been wanting to have this ink for a LONG time. Hoping the admins are able to figure out what went wrong.

Oh Please no.... New Voltarie red is supposed to be CARMINE red... this is not carmine at all.

That is most certainly NOT manuscript brown. So glad I have 4 bottles of the good stuff from yesteryear. That makes me sad to see something so wonderful have gone so badly on remake.

With the new FPN rules, now I REALLY don't know what to put in my signature.

No, no, I don't think this is the Voltaire Red at all.

I was encouraged to thoroughly shake my bottle of alleged GMB so I did and here are the results. (on white Rhodia #16 same as the other sample)

I put it in a baby bouncer for 20 minutes AND then I chased my teenager around the interior loop of the office for 6 laps while we each shook one. NO DIFFERENCE.

That and we were sweaty. I reminded him he used to fit in the baby bouncer, and I was not ready to be a grandma.

I'd be very disappointed if I was expecting a brown ink & THAT arrived. Yuk.

OK, what I'm finding unusual is that a number of people received GMB and it's all supposed to be from the same batch. And even accounting for some differences between systems and monitors the colors being shown are very different from mine. Of course, I don't know the size of an individual batch, so my initial assumption could be wrong.

A little while ago I pulled some Noodler's Park Red to write sone things, and I didn't shake the bottle or anything, maybe tipped it upside down once. But the color is very different from the review page that I did. So I need to check this more.

Mine, from the (I believe) the original batch is very clearly brown. It does settle out, there is definitely a sediment that winds up in the bottom of the bottle and it does take a lot of vigorous shaking to mix it up. It is a reddish brown, but clearly brown. Something odd with the colors the OP posted. Looking at the bottle in the picture I would say that the color balance of the photo is pretty accurate on my computer, perhaps a touch warm, but not far off.

Thank you!

We are down to our last two bottles of the batch that seems to be red. After this, we will have to place an order and I don't know when that will be here.

My mind is quietly boggling here. What sort of baby bouncer is suitable for agitating ink, and WHAT DOES IT DO TO THE BABY?
