Visconti Divina Proporzione, probably, though the red mosaic Sailor 1911 is also a serious contender.

I walked away from the Visconti Opera Master Demonstrators and am still regretting it a little. I can't complain too much since I got the Black Ripple and a whole slew of others, though! Still wish I had the Blue Ripple, though...

Waterman Serenite and Montblanc Jules Verne is the other one that I hate walking away from... :(

Visconti: Aida 0/1871, Amigdala, Black Ripple 4/199, Black Storm 8/88, Blue Ripple 870/999, Blue Symphony 88/208, Carbon Dream 4/993, Chatterley Ripple^3 4/25, Custom Ripple 4/4, D'Essai, Gulliver, Homo Sapien, Metropolis 64/288, Millennium Arc 2/1000, Opera Aqua, Opera Demo 547/888, Opera Nordic^2, Opera Water^2, Pericle^2, Ponte Vecchio^2, Ragtime, Ragtime 1174/1988, Replica, VG Custom^8, VG Demo^2, VG Green^2, VG Red, VG Vanilla^3, Versailles 317/365, Viscontina 39/188, Voyager^2

The Krone TRex.

Realistically though, a Pelikan M900. Can't decide if it's the classic black, or the silver on red.

Getting even more real, the Nakaya urushi long cigar.

Mont Blanc 149 FP

Mont Blan Le Grand FP Sterling Silver (getting it 28 Feb....yeah)

I'm so new at this.

I'm still learning the brands and models of new and vintage pens.

I still don't know what my Holy Grail pen is, but I know what it's like.

It will be a silver overlay, maybe a vintage Waterman?

(The newer MBs are gorgeous but, unless I find one at

a thrift store or win the lottery, one will likely never be in my price range.

Then again, if I skipped a house payment, a Marcel Proust could be mine! :puddle: )

I want it to look classy-victorian (not too frou-frou!)

it will fit my hand perfectly,

and most importantly,

it will write like a dream.

I'll cherish it forever, then leave it for my kids to fight over!

Some day!

I recently got a 1950's Conway Stewart 58, and since then have lost all interest in finding newer, better, grail-ier pens. I've gotta admit, this is one sweet pen! I'm a happy camper. :happyberet:

It's so old-school! With a feed that looks like it was designed in 1900. I wouldn't want to take this pen on an airplane - I'd have a pocketful of ink by the end. But the weight, the size, the line on the page... it's a perfect combination of beauty and function. Those CS guys really knew their stuff.

The one I'd most like to add to my collection (and probably never will) is a Sheaffer Targa Masterpiece. Way beyond my budget.

I think that I may be on the verge of "a" Grail Pen. I've had many Grail pens in the past, and expect many in the future. The current grail pen is a Mikado in taminuri...

I have come to peace with the fact that in anything that I collect, I'll never obtain a true, fabric-of-the-universe-shaking grail item. One pen is perfect for one moment, another for the next.

I'll take an Aurora, please. Aurora black.
