That 5:1 Yu-yake to Yama-budo is drool-worthy! Thanks for posting all these. Now I know that I need all the Iroshizuku inks. I was going to get them anyway, but now I know that I must.

Yama-budo is the magic mixer of all time.

 

I've let most of the mixes sit for 24 hours or so in my beaker. No bad outcomes so far. They seem to all mix just fine.

I finally inked up a pen of my Syo-budo mix after a three day wait. So it's nice to know they play together well. It'd be a shame (and expensive) if they didn't!

The first is of the mix testing I did, on a plain 'ol cheap sketchbook.

 

 

 

 

 

And here's the 1:1 on Clairefontaine. I did dilute the ink quite a bit, I'm not sure how much. Enough to get it to this color.

Also came to the realization that the Pantone chart is the ultimate mixing guide.

Pantone is good for that, haha.

Find the color and there is the recipe.

*shudders* This is going to become expensive. How does tsutsuji compare to yama-budo when used as the magenta...and on, and on.

Damnedable fascination of color.
