Need Help In Identification

< i posted the following in the 'freq. discussed topics' and realized that i should have posted in this forum>

In a recent trip to Barcelona, I happened to roam around a flea market and bought this cute little waterman pen for 15 euros (I hope it’s a good bargain).

But I’m unable to identify the model. I will be glad if someone could throw some light. “Waterman Made in France” is engraved in its cap and is written (not clear in the photos), ’18 K, 750’ in the nib.

Doesnt 18K indicates gold nib? But the seller, a very old man seemed to be knowledgeable in FP. He asked 25 euros for parker 45. Its hard to believe he gave me a gold nib waterman pen for 15 euros. Any thoughts ?

I now face one more problem in inking this pen. The pen came without catridge or convertor. But the standard intl.catridge is too big for this small pen L.

Thanks a lot Hari.

I saw the following link having the same image, but with a different name.

Btw, do you think the nib is gold ? I read somewhere that waterman stylo plume offers steel nibs with 18k gold plating and still write 18k in the nib.

I am pretty sure it is a solid gold nib if it says 750 on it. There is no other way to interpret 750 in the context of gold. The following link might answer your question about the cartridge also, hopefully.

Waterman doesn't mark the gold content on plated points; they might mention in the packaging or catalogue description "plated with 23.6K gold" but that won't appear on the item itself. And the plating is, generally, 23.6K rather than 18K. If the point says 18K and it's an authentic Waterman, then it's 18K throughout.
