I'm sorry I've been away for a couple weeks so I haven't been keeping up with the threads like I should be. I went to the fab 50 thread after I posted the pictures here. I love the reviews of this color, so I'm glad this is repairable. I love green inks and deep reds (just started playing with Diamine Syrah in my FPR Guru Fine nib, LOVE it). Thank you.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

As a reminder, these are test inks and we are the testers.

Today, when I pulled my TWSBI Vac 700 to refill it with Green Diamond..... I found nib crud. I hadn't used the pen in about 5 days.

OK here are my pics of reviews of the Green Diamond ink. Which I actually like. I didn't think I'd like a green ink. The current incarnation of the ink has some odd congealing problems, and I'm sure Susemai will figure those out before releasing the ink. When I do reviews I work with a whide range of papers from really good stuff (Mohawk via linen) to cheap (bleep) (cheap Cambridge notebook). Since I used Moleskine notebooks I always check there too.

Hopefully all these pictures won't blow my posting allotment.

I inked my tester pens up last night; I won't have time to do pages today, maybe tomorrow, but I did want to report that after leaving my pens nib-up overnight and horizontal for 6 or so hours today, I am seeing absolutely zilch of the nib crud that others were reporting. All pens have ink in the feed; they started right up for some brief scribbling.

Prediction: I am going to LI-I-IKE this color! :D

I'm going to try this ink again in a different pen with a little more water. I had NO trouble until I let the pen sit mostly dry for 4 days. Even still, it cleaned right out.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

General observations of Green Diamond:
Well behaved on paper

Easy to clean up

No signs of nib creep or crud like some people posted, but I also didn't leave the ink in my pens very long.
The color is bright, and I prefer Green Cashmere, but I think this would be popular.
Lots of shading options, even from pen to pen. That's a nice bonus.

I probably would not buy this, just because it's a little bright for me.

Don't believe everything you think.

First impression of Green Diamond at the recommended 8% concentration, in comparison with some other greens:

As soon as I get my main pen back from repair, I’ll add Diamine Kelly Green to the list as well; that’s the closest to Green Diamond that I have in my lineup.

I really like this colour so far. More to follow.

A dwarf’s unfailing capacity to believe what he prefers to be true rather than what the evidence shows to be likely and possible has always astounded me. We long for a caring Fortress which will save us from our childish mistakes, and in the face of mountains of evidence to the contrary we will pin all our hopes on the slimmest of doubts. Gold has not been proven not to exist, therefore it must exist.

It's similar to Kelly Green.

Loved the color, great shading, nice and wet for about a page then the problems start. There was crud buildup on the nib, so much so that it clogged to the point of completely stopping flow.

I really loved this ink! Maybe some fixing of the formula and thus would be perfect, all other Susemai inks have been easy to clean and never had this problem.
