Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

I have to admit that I have probably passed over this ink based on the name. But after seeing this, I think I am going to have to at least order a sample.

I think I looked at this early on but bypassed it for North African Violet, which has a bit of water resistance, and by PR Purple Mojo (which is a bit softer color, and a little faster drying, than NAV is).

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

I did the same - bought both of those purples before buying this one. NAV was one of my first purples. Alas NAV has NO fade resistance and can be a little fussy. Same for PR Purple Mojo and Tanzanite. This ink was really fuss free.

I tend to like the original simple Noodler's basic colors better than the more recent extravagantly named ones, as the older inks seem not to have the same bleeding, feathering and clogging problems found in more recent Noodler's inks.

If you've never seen the original Noodler's Blue - WOW, what a color! Too often I think it gets overlooked by another named after the sky or a particular river, etc.

Part of the ink business is marketing...who really needs all of these variations of the same colors? ;)

amberleadavis, I just LOVE your reviews! You need a published newsletter of ink reviews. I'd buy it.

I have a bottle of Noodler's Purple, and like it.

What about pink?

JK - Noodler's doesn't make just "pink".

As you suggested, a little black added to pink makes a nice burgundy. I don't use my black too often, so maybe I should get some pink just so I can make up some ink that is usable.

That's a really nice purple! I used to have hair the same colour may have to pick up a sample of this :) it's dark enough that I could use it for taking notes etc!

I love the idea of matching ink and hair color. It's a great regret that I grew up in the 80s and ever dyed my hair hot pink or neon greon - even better blue and purple. Sigh

Sigh...I need to stop reading your reviews amberleadavis. My poor wallet can't handle buying all the inks I see you posting :(

I'll keep on struggling, 'cause that's the measure of a man.

Wow, that1s a really nice purple. Well, I not match inks to my hair color, but I do sometimes match them to my nail polish or the color of my clothes.

Amber, would you do a side by side posting of the Noodler's purple with the Waterman Tender Purple for a comparison. I use the Tender Purple regularly, but haven't tried the Noodler's!

Also, does anything remain when water is run over it?

Thanks, in advance.
