Is Waterman Serenity Blue A Lubricating Ink?

Does anyone know if Waterman Serenity Blue has lubricating properties? If so, to what extent? A little? A lot?

I will appreciate all ideas and experiences.

No, it is not. If you want a lubricated ink, try Noodler's Eel series, or Pilot Iroshizuku.

not really. Parker Quink lubricates a bit better. I despise both inks though - having had to use them for years on end

What kind of lubricating properties do you mean.

As I understand, it lubricates the feed, for good ink flow thru the feed.

Do you mean lubrication for the piston seal on piston fillers, or ?

Before Noodlers was considered a 'wet' ink, now some think it dry.

Waterman had designed a somewhat thinner nib for the wetter ink.

Real dry is Pelikan 4001...which is why the nibs are a bit wide.

It is a free flowing, safe ink for any pen. If a pen has flow issues I will give it a quick fill of Waterman purple or blue and if is still has flow problems the pen has an issue. May try extra cleanings or just send off to the repair person if beyond my skill. Kind of a gold standard ink.

Thanks to all. I ordered a bottle of Eel Blue, though I have been using Waterman Serenity Blue in my Targa recently and like it. I need lubricated inks for a MB 146 to help with a sluggish piston.
