Non-Esterbrook "renew points"

I found one reference to this canadian law case: Mentmore Manufacturing Co., Ltd. v. National Merchandise Manufacturing Co. Inc. (1978), 40 C.P.R. (2d) 164 (F.C.A.). It looks that they ran into trouble by infringing someone else IP as well :) George any info on this case?

OK, the case was for ball point pens. It is ironic, however, that one of the early patents on interchangeable nib/section units was assigned to Mentmore.

Resurrecting an old thread - I just got an Elect-a-Point 120 Flexible today and have it on my favorite Esterbrook. It's a smooth fine point, but very lively on the paper. So far, I like it.

Are these things still being manufactured?

Yes, definitely curious whether anyone is currently manufacturing to fit Esterbrooks. A friend uncovered a stash of dollar and J pens - all imprinted with Property of Bell Company - and they are lovely writers, but the selection is limited to 2556 and 9668 points. Yes, I know Anderson Pens has a nice and reasonably priced selection of nibs. Still, it’d be a shame to let these nice pens become less available work-a-day tools than they were for lack of a ready nib supply.
